@@zhangruyi3153I get your frustration. She made quite a mess for everyone. But the way I see is that everyone in the drama got a chance to redeem themselves. I think that is the point and message. Madame Xu was foolish and gullible and even though she thought she did things with good intentions, those things ended up creating problems because she was abysmal at reading people and too stupid to think her schemes through thoroughly first. She finally came to see Shi Yi Niang's good qualities and redeemed herself by being willing to risk herself and her clan's standing with the emperor to do what was right and came to the defence of Shi Yi Niang. Even if she wasn't able to do much, she was there to publically stand up for Shi Yi Niang and delay the execution. At least at the end she learnt to drop her meddlesome ways after realising that she is grossly wrong in everything and should just leave things alone. Plus they also live in a society that honours filial piety so even if she didn't learn anything, there's not too much her son can do to her except to retire her to a country property that has a bit of distance from them. Yeah, I still get where you're coming from though.

I love that the drama had a good solid ending that extends past the end of the conflict and some time into the future. Most dramas stop immediately after the problem is resolved and we don't get to see further into the lives of the characters. Seeing them a bit older, still happily in love and successful is so satisfying.

I never watch any movie or drama for the past 6 year's I'm 32 this year my life intention of being enjoy is more into peace and relax. One day just to be happen I open my tv and for the first time I feel I want to watch a movie called Tom and Jerry but when I click the play button the tvbox suddenly show me a Chinese drama called The Sword and Brocade ep 1. So I just let it play and I just put my eyes on the tv screens.. when it's starts to play..I feel straight away this is a great story drama ,and yes I'm so amazing with this drama storyline..

I have watched a few Chinese historical dramas, and The Sword and The Brocade is in my top 10, and I rate it 10/10! Great male and female leads with believable acting/emotions, great supporting cast, drama held my interest throughout, beautiful costumes and scenery, and all of the aspects that are annoying in other dramas are absent here. This drama couple had genuine affection and trust for each other and were able to work through things, resolved the problems and crisis that popped up in a very satisfying manner, getting over all resentment and hurt which would have destroyed their relationship. I also really enjoyed the ending where they took the time to show everyone happy and living a loving family life. I will miss watching it now that I'm done. I will definitely be coming back to re-watch this drama.

What a beautiful story of love. It's been a wild journey seeing these two clash when they first met, try and convince themselves that they were just going to coexist and nothing more, and then having Lingyi fall in love and woo his wife. Misunderstandings and mistakes along the way but in the end they both acknowledged that they need each other and their love made them both better people. I'm going to miss this pairing. Doubt they will star in another film together, but I'm so glad to have this one to rewatch over and over again.

Its worth mentioning the fun part of this drama is the interactions between Lingyi with Linbo and Zhao Ying. Then the scene of how they both directs a drunk Ling yi to his wife.... While waitin for episodes to be released i have watched this drama few times... I must say Wallace Chung and Seven Tan did a brilliant job... Ling Yi's soft talks.. was too good. I love the way Seven Tan's face lights up with a smile.. and her famous line, Hoye its you...

Wow!! Amazing! I just finished watching this drama in 3 days and I thought it would be a shame not to leave a comment as it deserves so much praise. I loved the male and female leads. Their character development and overall chemistry was chef's kiss. The characters, the story line, the plot twists and the romance, from beginning to end there wasn't a dull moment. To top it all of the way the story tied off at the end was quite satisfying. What a journey it has been!! I can say with confidence that this drama is as of now one of my top 5. Thank you Tencent for uploading this with English subtitles and letting me be a part of this amazing journey. I have grown attached to the characters in the past few days and I still haven't recovered from this ride. I am sure I'll be left with these lingering feelings for days. Loved this drama! Wallace Chung is an excellent actor. Through his facial expressions, his eyes, his physical present , words fall silently conveying complete understanding. Thank you. Was so totally in love with this drama after watching it earlier in the year that I just binge-watched it again from start to finish over the last 4 days....in the process noticed a whole bunch of new character developments that I hadn't paid attention to the first go-around....this has most definitely been one of my most favorite costume dramas of 2021....excellent job to the entire creative and production crew.

It's been so long since I've seen such a good show that leaves that lingering warm fuzzy feeling after it ends, i finished it in a few days and it's been a ride, when I remember the image of shiyi in the first episode it feels like it's been years, that's how well written this story is, felt like I've lived it with them, amazing chemistry, and now I have to go and figure out how to live my life without them, feels like they went away to live happily and left me alone 😭

You meant “My Sunshine” starring Wallace Chung and Tiffany Tang. “You are My Sunshine” is a movie by Huang Xiaoming and Yang Mi. Clearly the drama is much better than the movie.

Apart from the fact that the characters are beautifully played, what impressed me is the representation of the femininity through the main female character. Today, when the qualities of womanhood nature are less present in the society, awakening and promotion of the true womanity is necessary. A wise, noble, restrained, upright, non-impulsive, worthy woman with character and integrity is a real pearl. Congratulations on the vigilance created by the Awake Female Aspect through the main female character.
