Now I understand why Xiaoyao said those things about Jing in season 1. We all know Jing loves Xiaoyao. She's his world. His everything. He's willing to risk everything for her. Even if it means his life. His friend's uncle told him how dangerous doing this thing to help him regain his memories is. There are some truths better left unknown. But Jing kept insisting. Seeing his memories makes me hate his family even more than I did in season one. It's bad enough that his grandmother drugged him to be with that thing. But to get their way, they used his weakness, Xiaoyao to control him and get what they wanted. How evil, disrespectful, selfish, and despicable can they be. None of them care about him. But to use his weakness? Why keep hurting this man? I just feel so bad for Jing. I hate that his character is part of a family like that.

I was watching the grandfather watching Cang Xuan who was drinking much after she agreed to marry and then the grandfather stopped him from saying more to her when he captured the messenger bird back. That grandfather is totally aware of what Cang Xuan is thinking and stops him. Grandfather is pretty doggone smart. He knows she loves Tushan Jing and he knows Cang Xuan loves her (not just as a sister). Still hooked and in it for the total story. My heart is always with the demon who shouldn't be in any girls dreams.

I can feel that Cang Xuan is getting more and more possessive of Xiao Yao and slowly losing his sanity in this episode. Although I do not like this vibe, I can empathize with him. He feels that XY is getting farther away (as in romantic potential) step by step. He has held in his yearning, conflict, and agony for so long that he can’t seem to bear anymore. If he doesn’t reach out now, he feels he will, in time, lose her forever (how fitting of the title, both the Chinese and English). It is painful to see. At the end, I hope he can find peace, perhaps with the help of grandpa who already seems to know.

Although it seemed odd for him to sing (nine headed demon) it seems as though he was trying to convey he just wants her to remember him but she is oblivious. He thumps her head since she refers to his nine heads disrespectfully. I don't go for thumping on someone but this is just a movie. She has always mentioned his heads and he is lightly annoyed. Here he was singing his heart to her and she is wise cracking. Seems about right. No matter that he loves her I think she wouldn't be good for him since she never really understands his love for her. I am trying not to feel sad for him by looking at it like this.
