When I'm watching this heart breaking moment all of them feel Xiao in danger but the nearest to respond is Jing actually all of them suffer a lot but Jing is the first person who can abandon his life willingly without thinking any other but this girl for he said she is the only person he wants to be with and willing to do whatever she asked him to do even abandoning his clan. Can'g is amazing man even he loves Xiao he let her to do whatever pleases her not mentioning his situation being candidate as emperor who will marry another woman to settle and to have power of the clan and the naughty and the luckiest of all . The first person who will be lost in the story is nine head beast the general spend 36years healing Xiao under the sea so that Xiao will be safe and no one will disturb her while on the healing process XL has done everything out of love and have lot of time with her.all of them give their life for her and all of them show great love for the princess but only one who will stay to be in her heart alone as her great love in the end..

I like both Jing and XL in this, some people might think Jing is less than XL on this, but need to remember if Jing Not Cover XY Body she will be burn to ashes, there was no way XL can Revive her. Its not that Jing do less on this, Jing only have 1 life and he ready to die with XY, if he have a way to Heal XY for sure he will Sacrifice his life to do that. For XL he Have 9 life so sacrifice 1 life he still have 8 life and he also Have a way to revive her, if XL only have 1 life will he sacrifice his life to save XY? To be honest if XL sacrifice his only life to save XY, it can not revive her as well, because he can't cure her if he dies. Also XL still have the rebel army that he want to protect, so its hard to tell if he will sacrifice if XL also have 1 life. In this i love both Jing and XL, because it need both of them to sacrifice in order to revive XY. Some people say Jing is weak, but being ready to sacrifice your own only life is not weak, remember its not that he don't want to save her, but he don't have the ability to revive her, so what he can do was protect XY body with his Life, and XL can revive her is also because XY body still in good condition, if XY body was burn to ashes, there was no way to revive it, for this both of Jing and XL showed that they Love and protect XY in their own way. Missing 1 of them to sacrifice XY can't be revived, XY can still be revive is because both of them sacrifice together.

I understand why girls opt for XL. It's just a fantasy on bad boy falls in love. He proactive on his jealousy. Visually, as an audiance you would appreciate it better. Whereas Jing is very soft but he dotes on her very much. His love is simple. He can literally gives up everything and gives everything on her command. I think he would gladly give up his identity if it isn't the promise to help the prince to the throne.

I expected the scene to reveal who the real hero of her heart was, but ironically the three of them behaved equally bravely and equally stupidly. The Fox did get there first, but he didn't take her out of the forest to try to revive her. The Brother did take her out of the forest and sustained her life long enough for the Snake to arrive, but they both wasted time bargaining. The Snake did heal her with his own blood and energy but not before striking the bargain. I know he did want to save her anyway, but still, it was kinda low.
