Great, informative video, Dennis! North for me all the way. Cooler temps, fewer people, local culture, gorgeous nature--all my favorite things. Also, I'm lucky to own a house at the beach, so the ocean is always accessible to me. I'm glad you and Tim rented a car and got to see the whole island. That's the way to go, whenever possible. Love to you both and Nala!❤❤❤

Yeah same for us. We love the less crowded places and exploring towns and nature. Living at the beach sounds amazing! In which part of the US is that? Love back from us ❤️

@@stufr.travel The ocean is always amazing! The beach house is in the Mid-Atlantic near my place in DC. I originally bought it for my mom.😊

The option to book a holiday in the south with a rental car and visit the north with it, bounces into a parking problem in the south. If you are renting a car, try to find a parking space in P. Americas, C Adehe etc is pretty difficult. So I think planning a day to the north with a car and renting a car for that period is a better plan than renting/hiring a car for the holiday when staying in the South

That is actually a great tip. We didn’t know about the parking issues in the south. What people could also do is book an appartement or hotel in the south that has a private parking. 😊🙌☀️. Tenerife has so much to offer, it would simply be a shame to not visit both the South and North 😊

We go to the south, my Husbands Mum has an apartment at Fairways San Miquel de abona :D

In the North, there are nice beaches too?

Oh yes for sure. Just above Santa Cruz there is the famous beach called Playa de las Teresitas. Stunning beach!🏖️

I prefer south than north, Costa Adeje is my favourite part.

We paid € 250 for a week. 😊. We chose a small car. It was perfect.

The north is far more crowded, busier traffic, all locals live and work there. If you think the south is purely tourist places with high hotels, you don’t know Tenerife. The weather? The north is great if you love fog, rain and cold. 😂
@stufr.travel8 ай бұрын
I guess it all depends on preferences and what you are looking for in a vacation. 😊

@@stufr.travel Partly. The traffic and weather however are facts. The north is far more populated and busy. And the weather in the winter months is just bad. Not in Candalaria, but on the northern coast it is often wet, foggy and cold.

@caskraker I agree with you on the facts. Although we had no rain and nice temperatures in Santa Cruz. With this video we tried to give a general feel to the difference between both parts of the Island. We talked about it being colder in the north. Rain can be a hit or miss. We didn’t experience it 🫣. But the south does have the tourist focus with all that it brings, if that is what you love than that’s your place to be. The north has a bit more culture and locals so that bring a different vibe.

@@stufr.travelThe south is much more than tourist places. If you only look at Los Christianos, Playa de las Americas and Costa Adeje: true. It is a crowded mess. We never go there. We stayed in Abades twice, which has nothing to do with crowds. There are many coastal villages between Palm Mar and Candelaria that are very quiet. Imho Candelaria is pretty crowded btw.

@caskraker that is very true. In our other Tenerife video we cover some of the amazing things to do in the South as well. Don’t get us wrong, we love the south as well. 🙌. But for our stay we tend to gravitate a bit more northly 😊
