1:23. From the start, tengen was under the influence of gyuutarou's poison. So he was nerfed already before the fight even started. As gyuutarou stated, the poison should work immediately, or at least a minute or two, but tengen withheld until the battle was over. If other hashira would fight gyuutarou, they would not last long. And the fact that Uzui cannot use DS mark because of the posion. (Needs to raise heart beat to released the mark). He was fighting while protecting tanjiro in a nerfed state. What a chad. One of the strongest I should say, probably 2nd or 3rd.

Real bro, that's why Tengen is my favorite character, he should be seen more than just a guy with three wives and just being flashy by the fandom. He's my 3rd favorite (Gyomei being 1st and Kyojuro 2nd.) and he's an amazing Hashira that deserves the world.

His first form's explosive power was already comparable to Kyojuro's final form (but a bit less, ofc). Tengen's final technique (dulling the effect of Gyutaro's final ultimate dying attack (already beheaded), is also somewhat comparable to Mitsuri's deflecting UM4's massive lightning attack (again, a bit less, but still comparable). At the time of his arc he was definitely a strong contender for 2nd strongest. He retired not cause he was crippled, he retired cause he made a promise and did his duty. MC Tanjiro (who takes ALL training extremely seriously), with the help of ~10 nameless demon slayers, could not even land a hit on him.
