Very rarely, do I listen to country music. But the odd time I actually do, you best believe this good ol’ Canadian girl is part of the mix. I mean, her voice is just so damn intoxicating. That it almost hurts.

I'm struggling with depression and self doubt and self esteem and the list goes one. This song encapsulates all those feelings so beautifully. Thank you

Until just now I had never heard of this artist or this song... I am a Mental Healthcare Worker at a women's maximum-security forensic hospital. I'm here because a young lady who has no access to the outside world put this on a list of songs she hoped one of us would put on her MP3 player for her. Many years ago she was suffering from undiagnosed schizophrenia and a series of tragic events unfolded where she did things the young lady I've known for four years would never do. She made decisions that caused the death of one of her children and it took over three years and countless medication combinations to get her to a place where she could even comprehend the events that took place. Imagine waking up one morning and learning that 4 years ago you had made decisions that killed your baby... A baby you now miss desperately and have no real memory of losing. She is where she is because of her own actions and I don't challenge that she needs to be there. I just want to say that regardless of how successful this song becomes nationally I can promise you that there's a young lady who will play this song thousands of times over the next months and years... For her, this song will be a rock for her to lean on when she's feeling lost and alone. The fact that she will be able to play it whenever she wants now instead of standing by the music room hoping it comes on feels my heart with a tiny bit of joy in this world of hate and sorrow. Bless you, Tenille... This song is absolutely beautiful and it will have a tremendous impact on the lives of many. I promise.

Bless you for taking the time to get it on her player! Music is such a HUGE healer for many people! I was in a relationship with someone who like the opening of this song knew just where to aim the arrow and hit my weak spots to provoke me. It made me into someone I wasn't and led me into a time of my life that I desperately wish I could get back

I cried so hard while listening to this. My mother killed herself when I was 9. I never understood why she could do that until I was 12. As I watch the blood stream down from both of my wrist and I fade out.. I have scars today to remind anytime I think about questioning my momma actions that changed my life. Today my son never will have know that feeling why momma. I still wear a mask most of the time. I am there for people who need me to fight the feeling today.

Amazing song. Tenille Townes is one of my favourite singers at the moment and I hope she brings out another album soon 'cause I loved 'The Lemonade Stand' and is it just me or does Canada have the best female Country Music Artists in the world now? Tenille Townes, Mackenzie Porter, Lindsay Ell, Kira Isabella, Tenille Arts, Meghan Patrick, Jess Moskaluke and Crystal Shawanda (more of a Blues singer now but started out Country) are some of them and are insanely talented.

TENILLE TOWNES (2021) - VILLAIN IN ME (Traducción en español) Pulls back the arrow Retira la flecha Knows exactly where to start Sabe exactamente por dónde empezar The weak spot in the armor El punto débil en la armadura Cuts straight to the heart Corta directamente hasta el corazón And the clouds roll over, temperature drops Y las nubes llegan, la temperatura cae As it gets closer and it all goes quiet Mientras se acerca y todo se queda en silencio Too quiet Demasiado silencioso The voice that I don't wanna hear, the hurtful words I say La voz que no quiero oír, las palabras hirientes que digo The long list of things about myself I wanna change La larga lista de cosas de mí misma que quiero cambiar The heavy cloud that won't leave even after it rains La densa nube que no se irá incluso después de que llueva I try to be a hero till it brings me to my knees Trato de ser una heroína pero me postra de rodillas Yeah, there's a villain in me Sí, hay una villana en mí You'll only see me laughing Solo me verás reír Sunshine and a smiling face Alegría y un rostro sonriente Sometimes I wear it like a mask A veces lo llevo puesto como una máscara It's easier that way Es más fácil así And the clouds roll over, temperature drops Y las nubes llegan, la temperatura cae As it gets closer and it all goes quiet Mientras se acerca y todo se queda en silencio So damn quiet Demasiado malditamente silencioso The voice that I don't wanna hear, the hurtful words I say La voz que no quiero oír, las palabras hirientes que digo The long list of things about myself I wanna change La larga lista de cosas de mí misma que quiero cambiar The heavy cloud that won't leave even after it rains La densa nube que no se irá incluso después de que llueva I try to be a hero till it brings me to my knees Trato de ser una heroína pero me postra de rodillas Yeah, there's a villain in me Sí, hay una villana en mí Maybe one day I'll be brave enough to stand my ground Quizás un día seré lo suficientemetne valiente para plantarme So maybe one day he won't come around anymore Así quizás un día ya no vendrá The voice that I don't wanna hear, the hurtful words I say La voz que no quiero oír, las palabras hirientes que digo The long list of things about myself I wanna change La larga lista de cosas de mí misma que quiero cambiar The heavy cloud that won't leave even after it rains La densa nube que no se irá incluso después de que llueva I try to be a hero till it brings me to my knees Trato de ser una heroína pero me postra de rodillas Yeah, there's a villain in me Sí, hay una villana en mí A villain in me Una villana en mí

Love this song! 🙌🔥🔥🔥 very thought provoking, smart subject matter 💗 hope you write full lyrics at the top of the video for your listeners to read. You are a brilliant artist Tennille, I truly think you are growing along the lines of a country Lana Del Rey and she is a genius writer as well. Think of it this way: if Shakespeare wrote songs instead of plays, a person would still be desperate to read every word he wrote for his songs (The songs then become more satisfying and stay in mind better) All the best, from Calgary 🇨🇦
