Minus the sleek, charismatic characters and cool special attacks, less interesting story story and battles, much less epic, and with an annoying nails on chalkboard voice anime girl. So far I think it's like a more boring Ronin warriors.

there was a buddy of mine that saw Shurato spanish dub in the 90's (i live in South America)...i can find portuguese subs but nothing more than that...i think is the first time Shurato is for the people who speak English

Shurato seiyuu now is Scorpion Miro and Gai became Wyvern Radamanthys.How ironic. Shurato was a great series,it could be a Saint Seiya ripp off (the two story arcs are carbon copies from Sanctuary/Hades sagas.Indra had his own "Another dimension") ,but had charismatic heroes,awesome fights and an amazing ost! The opening is excellent,on par with Pegasus Fantasy and Soldier Dream from the rival series. It was a success here in Brazil,being broadcasted along Saint Seiya and Ronin Warriors.Good memories.

I noticed in anime and other japanese pop culture there's always the more or less stereotypical boyish lad who has to fight the more or less feminine guy that all the women like. Some examples: Shurato vs Gai Berserk, Guts vs Griffith In Samurai Showdown, Ukyo is chased by women, and all the other male characters are loners I know there's more but I can't name them off the top of my head.

honestly I prefer the cloths of Saint Seiya and those of "Samurai Troopers" (which in the end are slightly modified samurai armor but not too much), these seem to me too similar mechanical / robotic (if the protagonists also had their faces covered they would look like giant robots who fight, which does not happen with those of "samurai Troopers even when they have the menpo lowered), ok that they are 3 different mythologies, but those of the 2 souls I mentioned earlier are more harmonious, more" armor "

Much better! The one I got from Import has incredibly broken English. There were so many mistakes in the translation I might as well listen to it in Japanese. I have only a small portion in Cantonese and can't find a full collection of that anymore.
