" 55 " chevy, worked a friend in a grocery store who owned a white 55 chevy, HOT ROD. He was so dang proud of. It was " t-boned" accidently in a parking lot. Damaged just enough to warp the vhassis.

That is a big ass car corral swap meet, I should have brought out from California my 64 Fairlane and 66 Bel air I have for sale on eBay. There is a bakery there that makes the best cinnamon rolls. It's just across the bridge on the left.

I used to go back when the the grand hotel used to host it. Back then it was 4 lanes of hotrods and people cruising until the Dhead cops started busting people for ridiculous stuff and really took all the fun out of it. I miss those days

Life long Tennessean here. Rockford to be exact. My high school buddy and best friend of many years Randy Smeltzer built a "Two Lane Blacktop" 1955 Chevy Bel Air clone with flip top front end. 454 BBC with 2 fours and a tunnel ram set up. He did years of research to make sure that car was identical to the movie car. And with open headers,...it absolutely beats the ground. Hell,.....he's got $20,000 in just the moter. The car was supposed to be up there in PF. Just wondering if you might have spotted him ?? Anyway. Thank for the coverage. Great job man.

We went there about 10 years ago it was somewhat of a joke the cops were in plain clothes handing out tickets if you just Chirped a tire it was horrible $50 a ticket, it was a shame
