I'll say this as a Vols fan - I'm glad we won today as it felt like taking a big weight off the program's shoulders, but I actually don't hate Alabama. I highly respect Alabama and like Nick Saban. There's a reason Saban has been very successful at Bama, and you could see it in this press conference - he doesn't sugarcoat or make excuses (at least to my knowledge), he's classy and professional, and prioritizes discipline when coaching his players, and that's why his teams over the years were always at or near the top. Sure this year they're not as solid on defense like their past teams or consistent as a team overall, but they are still Alabama. They never give games away. They make teams earn it, and that's what I always admire about them. I wish Alabama the best for the rest of the season.

That was a fantastic game, both teams played hard. Since my LSU Tigers are in the west, glad to see a west team lose. I like Saban and dont count him out. Bama will fall in the rankings, they are not out yet, but I expect they will drop from 3rd to 7th maybe 8th. But they WILL be in the SEC championship game. Losing a game like this does nothing but piss him off and makes a greater resolve. I would like to say LSU will beat Bama, but that will not happen. Ole Miss will play Bama tough this year. Tennessee played better defense in this game. Alabama needed a defensive touchdown, 2 field goals and a 2 point conversion ( totaling 15 points) for the tie game in the 4th quarter because they couldn't score on enough drives to keep up with Tennessee's offense. Credit that to Tennessee's defense. Both defenses STILL played badly but one was definitely better than the other at stopping the opposing teams offense.

My comment is focused on what happened after the Vols upset Bama specifically in regards to Jermaine Burton punching a female Tennessee fan who rushed onto the field after the upset win. Burton should be kicked off of the team and get arrested for aggravated assault. Saban is saying that they'll "handle it internally". Burton must be kicked off of the team and serve time in jail for aggravated assault. Anything less than that is just a slap on the wrist. Saban has an obligation as the head coach to follow through on this matter appropriately or else his ass should get fired immediately

I'm a die hard Vol fan, but the fact that beating Bama was one of the most exciting times of my life in recent years tells you how good Alabama has consistently been. Bryce Young might be the greatest QB I've seen in a long time. He's got ice in his veins and fire in his belly. He deserves his Heisman. Vols had to play at the top of their game to win this game. As a graduate of Alabama who was born and lives in Tennessee, I have always had the greatest respect for their university and their football program. Every true Alabama fan I know felt Tennessee’s fall from competitive contention in the SEC was a loss for the entire conference. You only get better by playing and proving yourself against the best. If all you want to do is WIN by playing against cupcakes, you’d join the ACC or the PAC 10. No team, least of all Alabama LIKES to lose, but at the end of the day in all sports competitions there can only be one winner. If you must lose, any true competitor wants it to be in a close, hard-fought game with their traditional rival … and that is what Tennessee has always been to me. Congratulations Vols. Well played.

Absolutely man. They reviewed that turnover on downs and was gonna give them a 5th down. Several flags were thrown and picked up. A PI on us when the catch was uncatchable. That PI on the interception that we took out of the endzone and they threw the flag 30 seconds after the play was almost over. Never have I seen refs controlling the game more than this one

I live in Brooklyn, NY, and seen Crimson tide of Alabama, and Coach Saban built a great football program from the ground up, made his players better disciplined and lead them to NFL. Somebody needs to tell Coach Schiano at Rutgers that look at the Alabama Crimson Tide football team they built winning formula for success with recruiting, leads to winning big games, those lead to College Football playoffs. But for the game itself, Alabama Crimson Tide got out Coach by Josh Heupel and Tennessee Vols on both sides of the ball, both offense and defense. Tennessee Vols needed this win.

What did you learn today Brandon? You coach the db’s, they can’t cover, tackle, can’t lineup properly, oh yeah, SLOW! Shall I talk about that weak dline who couldn’t break through a wet paper bag? Then there’s those receivers!! Do they eat snacks like buttered popcorn, ribs, brisket or double deep fried chicken before kickoff and/or on the sidelines?? Should really think about putting an end to that since it leaves a REALLY greasy residue on their hands making it harder to catch the ball. Just a suggestion, cause I’ve NEVER seen a college receiving drop more perfectly thrown balls in six games than an entire season! That oline can’t run or pass block P-E-R-OID!! Maybe it’s time to let some of those assistant coaches on staff that were former DCs and OCs at the college level that u/s the game WAY better than Peter Head and OMG’Brien have a more active role?? Maybe try putting in that freshman American shut down corner, ya know Ricks, transferred from LSU. The true freshman that shut down Metchie and Williams in a game we should have lost. Maybe some position changes across the board, kids with some pitbull attitude in the lineup up. Last thing put #1 db and #10 lb on the scout teams!! This was suppose to be your best team ever?? Talent galore!! Maybe, just maybe it’s not the players who are the problem. Anyway, Let’s Go Brandon Saban!!

Congrats to Vols! Great fight! However the Refs had your back on bad, cheesy, pathetic pass interference calls when bama lead 49- 42 and picked off the pass near the goal line...ran it back...game over! BAMA WINS! When referees are dirty, that's when teams can beat bama in games like this...wow man! Clemens had to cheat with an illegal pick that was not called to beat bama, and win back in the second meeting back to back under Deshaun Watson and renfro Clemson stolen title. This game had Referees making so many bad calls against bama, it was so obvious. I PLAYED FOOTBALL AND CANNOT BELIEVE WHAT I WAS WATCHING...Enjoy it Vols, because Kirby smart will end your run in Athens and I hope the referees have INTEGRITY...and call a clean game. Bryce Young for not being 100% was the better QB...and Did his job. He came back from 21-7 in a hostile stadium where targeting on one play was never called. On a neutral field bama will beat the Vols. If they get by Georgia. Because Bama will have a second chance in Dec. Georgia did last year because Michigan played like wimps and a cupcake team against Georgia in the Semifinal.

Alabama also consistently got multiple delay of game penalties, holding penalties as well. I mean is it refs fault that the offense can't get ball off with regulated time. Your comment is extremely biased and not thought through. Go back through game and look at all the non disciplined playing Bama had lol.
