It’s not that idiotic. We would swap first round picks and get a QB and then use the extra first round pick to take a tackle. It’s risky because JJ McCarthy just had a bad injury but he’s also younger than the current prospects and had a higher draft grade.

I still wouldn't go for that trade as the Vikings would have a lower pick in the first round since they are in the playoffs. Age doesn't matter when it comes injuries and durability.

I would take JJ in a heartbeat, but not for the 1st overall pick. In my opinion, we should trade the pick and then use some of what we get to take a chance on JJ. Worst case scenario, he isn't good, and we haven't wasted a number 1 pick on him. A move like this could turn the franchise completely around, though.

Levis did get shafted. Looked better with previous coaching. Not managed well at all. Levis erratic play is part of being a young QB and Levis only has about a season of QB starts. Now JJ getting three draft picks is absolutely aburd. Moronic. We could trade down to #3 and still get JJ for that pick. Looks like Minny might not go forward with Darnold not looking good in the playoffs. But no way JJ is that much better, if any better than Cam or Sanders. JJ has proven nothing. No different than a current rookie. Cam is my favorite if we go that way. Much better arm and athleticism. Sees the field well and looks more like Watson or even Mahhomes.
