after looking at what LaFleur cooked up for Malik Willis, watching this is especially painful. the playcalling is "simple" for a rookie QB, but it's so simple that the Packers don't have to think too hard. If you look at where Malik Willis did well you'll see plays where he absolutely balled out, but Matt made it easy by stacking the deck for him. Pre-snap motion that didn't JUST sell the run, but led to blocking for screens. When you can make localized superiority you get lots of safe plays, which builds confidence.

I think that play with Levis where he was I play action and he didn't throw it to Pollard on the outside was because of those other interceptions were he had a similar situation and he tried to force the ball into a bad spot. Do basically Levis is still shell shocked from his past mistakes.

@TicTacTitansАй бұрын
Cally defended it but I do not understand either. Lack of vision.
@Erik_Ice_FangАй бұрын
Two other receivers were completely covered (one fell over after a tiny tap at scrimmage), TE was covered by 2 LBs. You had 1 receiver on the complete opposite side open, but your QB stared down the right sideline. While Jaire was staring down your QB.
@42tribesАй бұрын
@@Erik_Ice_Fang Thanks for giving me some understanding. I could only see one shot of the entire field and it looked like they were in multiple hitch patters. 1. You have to look at the defender. Levis should see if Jaire going backwards before he throws it and probably should audible if its any type of short zone depth. 2. I hate multiple hitches especially for the Titans. Maybe the WR who slipped was a corner/throwaway route which plays well off of hitches but even then you have to eat the sack.

10 run plays less is just atrocious play calling(technically the titans ran a 11 times, some were runs that happened when a pass play was broken up. I don't care if you are only making 2-3 yards a rush, and are down by 50 you don't abandon it. The moment a defense knows you are going to pass everydown, the pass pressure gets dialed up, and it makes passing 100x harder. Run plays improve time of possession and tires out the defense. It allows your OL an oppurtunity to dictate their will on the DL. You can run the ball on the Packers.

I’ve watched the last couple of breakdowns, and you spend quite a bit of time talking about decisions that have to be made in an instant for Will Levis. He doesn’t get to see things in slow motion and he doesn’t get to hit pause and breakdown the defense while he’s running full speed. He’s had some bonehead plays, but his decision making isn’t as bad as you’re making it out to be. Get sacked 8 times in a game (7 of which weren’t his fault imo) and see if you have the ability to trust your O-Line and make quality decisions. No QB in the league is 2-1 with this line.

You can see that everyone is just speeding up their mechanics way too much. Will Levis on that first play action pitch play doesn't even look to where he's supposed to be pitching it. He just kind of half ass fakes the pitch with his arms while keeping his eyes towards the receivers and coverage. The Oline on most of these plays are "going too fast" as well. They're not in sync with the timing of the play. I think most of these problems are going to slowly get fixed as guys get more time in the system. It just looks to me that the timing on offense is just out of whack at the moment.

Here is deal fans. This line is trash and until the get a solid right tackle, we will continue to see this kind of play from the titans each and every sunday. The fact is, NPF is not the answer nor is Duncan. These guys can't play. So they need to go and we need to bring someone in here that is an upgrade compared to them. Once that happens, you'll see Levis play better because he will have better pass protection. The reason why the offense cannot seem to get things going at times, is not because of Will Levis... its because of the O line. They refused to address it this offseason and didn't get a solid right tackle. Instead they spent money elsewhere which fine, but you gotta at least have decent tackles in this league or you are going to lose ball games. Period. So fans... we got 2 weeks till the trade deadline. If Amy doesn't make her crew find a better right tackle, then you might as well sell your tickets and watch a different team because it will be a waste of your time and money watching the titans lose.
