Announcers do not call pitches. The umpire does that, and just today, getting ready for back to school, I listened to a speaker talk about his experiences being a referee. "50 % of the people are going to hate you." Disappointing that's playing out here. Kids are probably reading what you write here. Please keep that in mind.

McCauley for Tennessee throws low to mid-70s. The Japanese ace can hit the 70s. As for who I think are the best though: Jun, then McCauley, then Jablonski from Texas. IMO, Jablonski is probably the best "pure" pitcher of the three, because he doesn't have the dominating stuff of the others. He held that strong California lineup in check which is not easy to do. It is going to be tough for a US team to win it this year. Taiwan is the obvious favorite. As to who I think has the best chance from the US? Probably Cali. Who do I want? Texas or Tennessee.

My only issue with a girl playing with the boys. Is the media becomes involved and suddenly she is bigger and more important than her team. We've seen dozens of runs scored on passed balls in the LLWS. But when she scored on a passed ball they basically did a whole segment on it. Zero against Stella. Shes a helluva ball player. Its not her fault. Its the media. Its ESPN. Its just like Sarah Fuller kicking for Vanderbilts football team. It stopped being about Vanderbilt football and all about her even though she was awful. Except of course Stella can actually play.
