I think this is the best way to learn a song. Everybody teach you note for note and don't give you the big picture. This way you leard a song and you also learn tool to create your own song. Keep doing this Michael. Thanks!!

Couldn't have said it better myself. I found Michael a couple months ago and I have definitely improved thanks to him plus he reinvigorated my desire to practice and get better rather than just play songs. I love it.

Started to learn this one the other day and thought I wish MP made a video on this. Then KZbin algorithm helped me out and brought you to me today! Thank you…both I guess. Mostly Michael.

This was such a great lesson! The way you broke it down ( as well as other lessons you have) does give a whole new lens to how to understand music, the fretboard and how and why notes sound right. Anyone can get the tabs on the solo and learn it note for note but this helps me figure out how to make it sound like me. My band wants to do this in a few weeks so I know what I will be focusing on over the holidays. And seriously why you don't have more followers is beyond me! Happy holidays and stay safe!

I subscribed based on your reactions to Tyler Childers and I don't even play 🤦 But the love of music shines thru and I love honest reviews. But I am shocked that as a guitarist you've only reacted to this by Chris Stapleton. I feel this is a major disservice. Please listen to I Was Wrong (live) or Sometimes I Cry (at the Bing lounge) as I feel you would have great insight for guitar students for those songs that really highlights Chris and his guitar skills much more than this song

Actually Tennessee whiskey was written by Dean Dillon and Linda Hargrove first recorded and David Alan Coe then covered and released by George Jones. Let's give credit where credit is due. It's not a Chris Stapleton song

You'd have better luck with close up cameras rather then trying to talk to a camera from a distance. You should have close up on your fret board. All the good teachers on here do that
