Have to say, just the right amount of "twang" in your vocals. Harmony is spot on and your back up musicians are awesome. I rate this an "I would buy the single" for sure... if I didn't hear Chris first, it would be a hit, but Chris ruins it for everyone who tries to cover him. That is not an insult or a slight, only a fact. Amazing rendition.

You guys sound awesome. Here's the problem. This is one of Those songs that only hits home if the listener really believes that the singer has lived the lyrics. It's nothing against you ladies and it's not to say that a women can't live this life. I know they do. What makes this song is the pain raw pain that translates and it isn't here. I would agree, and that's why I think Chris Stapelton's version is so great. Having said that, pain comes in many colours and some people can feel the depth of the pain through other experiences. Dismissing the expression simply because the girls are visibly too young to presumably have had the experience, seems a bit arbitrary. If you replace the bar with some other setting, it wouldn't sound so implausible..what they are singing about is the love they feel. I think they have earned a bit of credit for putting their hearts out there...and that the feelings they express are real..

You may be right, in a Simon Cowell sort of way, but these two artists are captivating. They have beautiful female voices - sure, the original was male and perhaps from personal experience, but very few artists are singer-songwriters and often sing someone else's lyrics. These two sing beautiful harmonies, and strong solos. Somebody should be writing songs for them. Country rocks!
