Andy says it all, he gave that match everything and came out on the loosing end. How I'll never know, and according to Federer he doesn't know either. A Great player who had his career at a time when 3 goats, Novak, Rafa, and Roger dominated everything. Another time he could have been a double digit major winner. A credit to and a legend of the sport.

I was rooting for him so much that day. Really hurt to see him lose coming so close.

I really wanted Andy to win Wimbledon in 2009. Still to this day I hate thinking about how that match ended. I hope with time it doesn't bother Andy anymore.

Personally. The final in 2009 had a bigger impact than 2008, Nadal first Wimbledon major was critical, but 2009 match felt so sorry for Andy, he improve so much that year and did not pay off.

The Champion can be different each time, but someone always hanging there to keep you thinking again for the first is a threat.

He was such a great player, just Federer was just too good sometimes. Good career nonetheless for Roddick.

You could have played the 2nd set tiebreaker better. You were 6-2 up
