Giorgi's father was right in my view. That umpire should have been replaced. So many harsh and unjustified code violations. Her father says: "This umpire has to be replaced!" And the umpire gives her a game penalty, her second of the match! And this has happened before (change of the umpire I mean). In the US Open 1979 umpire Frank Hammond was replaced after he defaulted Ilie Nastase because of time violations. In Davis Cup 1991 umpire Malcolm Huntington was replaced by Bruno Rebeuh after the obligatory break in Davis Cup after 3 sets then. Probably because of his bad decisions. Olaru was being ridiculous in that match. you're a professional player. you shouldn't toss the ball in the air 3 times before taking each shot
@cooperallen71452 жыл бұрын
You ever play tennis? Wind, mental day. Either way you can have a bad serving day and mess up your toss. Chill out

Well, all tennis tournaments just need hawkeye... There are so many errors in almost every match from itf, futures, challengers.... On the other side, that will burn down all these dramas and controversials. So.. What to do? Get rid of this line refs by replacing them with hawkeye.. And make tennis a fair sport finally... Or let them doing their job, cost many times players the match and give us tje chance to see this awesome videos more and more... Really a hard one question
@BobCakez3 жыл бұрын
There’s barely any blatant errors honestly. Almost always when players kick off over a line call it’s a very close call and the player is convincing themselves into seeing it their way.

Giorgi is such a spoiled brat, and seeing the way her father acts you can tell why
@dukeon6 ай бұрын
No, she’s almost always very composed, win or lose. And when she does challenge a call she’s always been right in the many matches I’ve seen. She doesn’t cheat or play dirty. It’s her father that is 100% the problem.

Did that umpire shot his shot at Giorgi only to be rejected? It was starting to seem personal

How did that man produce Camila Giorgi?
@tennissir19863 жыл бұрын
Tennis umpires compared to other sports seem to have less control over players than other sports like Soccer, Basketball, Baseball. It all goes back to the days of players like John McEnroe and Jimmy Conners who got away with abusing the umpires and the modern players see that they can still do,it.

I guess Tennis is an elitist and snobbish sport like golf and that mentality comes with it.

Idk what he did but he's one of the best umpires I know at least in WTA, he, Kader Nouni and Miriam Bley (in WTA).
@@alancosta4760 Kader Nouni is idiot. He is involved in so many dramas.

Why did Giorgi get a second game penalty instead if being defaulted? It was her 4th warning...
@einarsd42 жыл бұрын
It seems, you don't know a shit about tennis. For 4th warning you lose another game, you idiot. There is no defaulting for 4 or more warnings. Get that into your stupidi head. Anyway Thomas Sweeney made absurd decisions and he clearly tried to steal the win from Giorgi.
