Along with Rick Macci there are about 5 to 7 good online tennis instructors. You are DEFINITELY one of them. Fantastic job thank you.

Meike so precise ! Love your videos and work ! In fact tennis is a question of gravity and ball physics and the way to respond to.

Meike, thank you for this video. I am wondering if you could show the flat power hit versus top spin hit on the one handed backhand, I assume the technic might have difference comparing to 2-handed backhand. But I might be mistaken😊

Excellent video again. Thanks for sharing. Btw. I am much more inconsistent with my forehand. I guess contrary to the majority.

I know that you had a video on open and closed positions but it would be interesting to hear your opinion on that with respect to the dominant eye. I learned how to play in the 80s when they taught that the open position is a no-no. So I always approached the ball with the closed or semi-open position. And I have always lost track of the ball at the last moment hitting it blindly. Until I learned that I am right eye dominant and should have an open position when I hit. After that the stability improved but I still have to reteach myself pretty much everything that was engraved into my brain for 30+ years. Thought of this when I saw your approach to the ball for the backhand more like a semi-colsed to closed position.

Yes, I would like your opinion on the dominant eye issue, which has been so much talked about lately. What importance do you give to this aspect, Meike ? Thanks

Awesome video, can't wait to try it out..I've a single hander & neither the opponent nor me know whether I will hit a thiem like down the line winner or send the ball into the stratosphere...when I play a match, I move faster towards the forehand side but slower on the backhand, can't you pinpoint why? Is it fatigue or laziness or plain lack of confidence on my part?

Great job coach. I am 67 and enjoy tennis very much. How can I improve my tennis skill? You know..there are too many error inside my muscle memories.

Try to break down whatever you think is wrong into the smaller steps and then work on one thing at a time

I love the video, but then I wonder how it adapts to doubles when there's less time and strokes need to be shorter/quicker. I was watching JJ Wolf yesterday and marveling at how compact his two-hander is at times. I'd love to see some videos on how to have a Rock-Solid backhand in doubles!

Yes that’s a good point. And a great suggestion. I’ll put that on my videos to film list!
