Hi Tomaz, Really like the structure:) I would like to add one extra part to it and that is slice/spin drills. Since this would make it easier to get used to the continental grip as well as it promotes being more sideways while serving. With groundstrokes I prefer to have people learn to hit a clean ball before spinning it, because this promotes a sound technical base (with to much focus on spin there would be a risk in getting a extreme style with lack of ability to hitting trough the ball). But with serving the use of spin helps with a good technical base (continental grip and being sideways) in my experience. Looking forward to your view on this and if there is a reason you kept it out of this structure...? All the best, Paul

Thanks for sharing, Paul! I would start adding some slice to the serve a bit later (maybe after a few months), I am not sure about implementing slice shots to complete beginners, I would prefer to get them to throw really well. The problem they will face with trying to slice the ball is that they will have to slow down the movements in order to get such a precise hit and that's not what I would want when I want to develop the whole kinetic chain as they will use just them arm in order to get that precise hit. So yes, you can play with a bit of slice when they do Contental grip tapping the ball or when they play mini tennis or volleys, but to serve with a slice very early on would be very difficult for beginners. I would do very small amounts of slice serving as part of the whole serve development in the beginning...

@@feeltennis clear and agree:) Not with full beginners. First developing some throwing and swinging mechanics. After that I would introduce the continental grip with slicing/spinning:)

The way you break down the serve makes it feel way less intimidating for beginners, solid work! We're working on something similar but for the mental side of tennis-using guided visualizations and AI journaling to help athletes stay mentally sharp. It could be fun to explore a collaboration-would it be okay okay if I sent you an email?
