Thanks for your response. I live in the uk but maybe they will be able to give me some advice. Thank you. By the way TierOne did send me the strings which arrived today. Thank you

Excellent tips, David. I wonder if you might have any suggestions for cleaning a racquet frame? I work in a pro shop, and the boss wants us to use a dampened towel (water) over the bumper and frame after removing strings but before putting in the new strings. However, using this method doesn't leave a lasting shine where the bumper shows abrasions and wear. One KZbin clip endorsed moistened cotton balls with baby oil, which sounded like a good option. Other ideas I've heard of include goo gone, Armor All and WD40. Any insight you could offer would be most appreciated!

I always do the best I can with water and good old fashioned "elbow grease". My fear is that some other type of cleaner could damage the paint. Take care. DH

First of all, congrats on getting your machine! Your question... Without seeing it first-hand, it is tough to say how to fix it. Did you buy the machine new? If so, I would tell them and have them fix it or give you a new one. Sorry I can't be of more help. Good luck. DH

I have only strung with metal clamps, so I cannot make a first-hand comparison. As logic would dictate, metal clamps are likely going to be stronger and more durable. My current clamps are metal with five teeth. They are diamond-dusted on the inside for better gripping of the string. I absolutely love them. Take care. DH

I'll give it a try. This video was recorded back in the day when my young son was holding the FlipCam for me:) Take care. DH

Hey Mark - Sorry to learn you're having trouble. No... I have never had any problems with my turntable locking mechanism, but... I have to say... I rarely lock my turntable. The only time I do is when I'm stringing one of the Prince O-Port racquets. For all other sticks, I keep it un-locked and have never had a problem with it moving on me. You may want to contact TennisMachines in PA in the U.S. They repair machines and may be able to give you some advice. Take care. DH

The machine I use at work is causing me problems. The locking clamp to lock the turntable locks and jams. Recently whilst I had a racket on it and I couldn't release it. I like to lock this whilst doing the crosses other wise the turntable is moving around too much. Have you had any issues with these clamps or how to maintain them. Thanks

My machine is a SAM Pro-Master. I have info about it on my blog inspired-tennis (KZbin doesn't like me to post URLs, I guess.) You should check it out. The Prince 6000 is VERY similar to my machine. Almost identical turntable, mounting system, and tensionhead/gripper. Take care.

hi, i bought a stringing machine a couple of months ago and recently the area beneath the clamp where you keep the string locked is not working, do you have any advice how to fix it ?
@InspiredTennis13 жыл бұрын
Not sure. You're always best to check with your machine manufacturer first - to see if they have a recommended substance for cleaning. You never want to risk voiding your warranty. The rubbing alcohol I use is 70%, and it has never caused any problems. Take care. DH

You need to tighten up your clamp, if you have fixed clamps then you need to centre up the two holes in the sides and get a medium sized allen key and tighten it.

@chezchez31 Nope. Probably could be - just never had the desire or need to take the test and get certified.

Can you apply the "stabilize video" feature to this video? I can't watch it with the shaking.

It is all relative. If you're doing 20 sticks a week, I'd say that is a decent volume. Some home stringers, shops, and tournament stringers do that much in a day:) Take care. DH

Hi, do you know how to free the gripper of an electronic stringing machine?
@InspiredTennis6 жыл бұрын
John Cocoma Hey John - I’m sorry... I don’t know how to fix this problem. Im sure you’ve tried to power it off and on, so if that isn’t working, then you’ll probably need to contact the manufacturer. Or... Check out tennismachines.com. They will likely be able to help you. Take care. DH

Would 99.9% Alcohol concentration be ok for the clamps?
