In all the years that he played, he gives it his best. It doesn’t matter if it’s a title he has to defend, he plays like it’s his first time being in that match. I’ve only had seen him in person once at the US Open a few years ago. But I’ve watched his matches, cheered for and with him, felt disappointed along with millions of fans. Like any other sport icon, when this chapter ends, it hurts but know that you’ve carved yourself a spot not only for tennis but for every aspiring athlete out there: to be tenacious, to believe, to have the grit! the best thing he ever said was in a game he was down 5-1 in the first set of the game. he pulled an epic come back and won the set. after the game he told the reporters do not remember me for winning the set but remember that when i was down 5-1 i didnt break my racket on the ground!
