These are the best looking Prestige racquets in a long time, looks like they took the cue from Wilson's Pro Staff cosmetics. I've been a Wilson guys for decades and currently play Pro Staff 97 v13 frames but absolutely want to try these asap! Great vid.

Just hit with the mp, my usual racket is the Speed pro. I found lots of spin, super manoeuvrable, smaller sweet spot. I think im going to make the move as i found i could hit a more varied shots... easy to rip it high with spin or hit and angle. Maybe plow through isn't as good... so i might add lead.

Would this Prestige MP 2021, having the 18/19 string pattern with 21.5 beam, be closest retail available raccquet to what Djokovic uses?

Thank you for the review Jonas. I’m a Prestige Pro Player, and if they are similar to the previous generation, going to hold on on it. I like the new paint job, but I also like the red that the 360+ has, since I used to play with the 2014 Graphene Prestige Pro with the red/black cosmetic. I think experimenting with strings to suit my game style on my 360+ will be a bigger upgrade than buying the new generation.

Today first try with my new Prestige MP L….after playing Prestige Tour and Extreme Tour in change…for me the Prestige MP L is the perfect mixture between Control Power Spin! All String with Isospeed Rexxer in the main and Isospeed Energetic or Head Velocity MLT in the cross (☺️25/25kg) Now my search of racket for years comes to an end 🤗

To me it was a very good racket I love the feel I need to make our Per stage 98 MP with the 16/19 string pattern with a 98 in.² head no bigger head than that and go smaller the 16 x 19 will give it a bit more top spin and that’s all that needs is 16 x 19 where is 93 inches Head it’s okay it’s kinda like the light weight of the MP 98 anyhow love them both I think they’re 95 in.² head is an improvement on the new one probably wouldn’t go any smaller than 95 but 98 is game on and 93 I’m gonna keep it’s a good alarm for the collection and I do enjoy using it but like I said it’s like the light weight even though it is 315 I look it’s okay and something different to me it’s a bit of a light weight I take it out for a social match how far is playing against a hard hitter are definitely grab the 98 I’ve just use it for service I’ve done a few forehand and then 19 x 16 is definitely an improvement photo of Spain so how do you know what you’ve gotta Do is 98 with 16 x 19 string pattern and that will be perfect

These swing weight issues are just ridiculous. The retailers should check all their frames and just send back those that aren't within a "reasonable" range. When you buy a racquet online, hardly any vendor has an open comments field where you could at least ask them to not send you an off-spec frame. I know there are matching services but they're most used when buying multiple frames. And why on earth should I pay extra to get a frame that's aligned with the marketed specs? Just keep raising this issue Jonas!

Hello Tennisnerd I tested head prestige MP 2019 and head prestige Pro 2021 for a few days. After i few minutes of playing, i found Pro 2021 noticeably more softer than MP 2019. Also MP 2019 i would say has better control, but is not so much arm friendly like Pro 2021.

And the spitfire find a good machine could be a bit more powerful with the speed could have a bit more tops been to is joining the job and are moving forward and like I said if you don’t put it on the Bay line you gotta put it halfway between the bass and the service if you got it down low she won’t use as much battery and if you got it up close and you won’t power should be enough but it’s pretty adjustable it’s okay

I started off with a radical MP and then obviously as time went on a plane every day I went to the PRO and my surf wasn’t quite right and I broke a bunch of them had Sharapova‘s racket as well that was 300 g the one with the old head before the round head the over word the blue one anyhow that was an awesome racket and probably a bit like now that really good and then they change the head to around ahead anyhow haven’t got mine any more I broker have you time I served I’m not every time but sometimes the records slip out of my hand and hit the ground and snap I probably went for about two grand of rackets until I fix this problem yeah it was a bit annoying come home all upset because I broke a racket at the end I started getting used to it very expensive Yeah and now I conserve correctly I don’t break them and I was a bit disappointed with the coaching I tell you

How is the new Prestige MP compared to the Pro Staff v13? I’ve been playing with the Pro staff for the last 5 years but I’m finding it a bit difficult to play with it now. I’m in my mid 50s and I’m struggling with my Pro Staff at the net and I can’t always get myself into position with my knees problems. As much as I love my Pro Staff I think I need something more forgiving and easier to hit with. I’m thinking Blade v8 or the Prestige MP. I like feel and control over power. I like to volley.

Hi. I've had an extensive demo of the new MP, and own the PS v13. MP is a good frame, volleys very well, but the higher swingweight makes it trickier to swing over time (i'm in shape mid 30's and it's just too much after an hour and a bit). Affects the serve too. In terms of more forgiving and easier to use for a flatter style, check out the Prestige MP L. Compared to the PS, it's a fair bit more forgiving (99sqin, same mould as MP, 16x19, 300g), more manueverable from all areas of the court, still plenty of control. Overgrip gives it more power, i prefer stock. Give it a demo, it's a real gem as a lighter players racquet, better than the PS97L for sure.

Regarding QC issues: a guy with a lot of experience buying racquets calls TW and asks for the lightest racquets that they have in inventory and then has them customized up to his specs. I think that's the best way to do it. When you go to sell them, the next buyer can do the same thing. Not much you can do with a racquet significantly over spec.

'Replaced the spiral fibres' lol. There were never any spiral fibres. There isn't any 'Auxetic'. It's all marketing bollocks.
@jerome_morrow
@jerome_morrow 3 жыл бұрын
This is not necessarily true. “Spiral fibres” was probably just laying the prepreg at the throat with the fibres running obliquely rather than longitudinally. Nothing new in reality since varying oblique fibre orientation has been used for years in graphite racquet manufacturing to modulate the stiffness of the respective section. “Auxetic” just sounds like more of the same, repackaged in a new buzzword ie: varying the fibre orientation in the layup to get a different feel. Whether it’s better or worse is subjective to the individual. There’s no doubt that the layups in the 360+ racquets were generally well received (being softer than their predecessors), so HEAD is unlikely to mess with this too much. Agree that all these techno buzzwords are largely just marketing b*ll*x!
@josephduchene5849
@josephduchene5849 2 жыл бұрын
The tech is real, but usually just refers to formulations of carbon, rather than some totally unique material. Like Volkl V-Cell is just graphite made from cellulose. It's real, but over-marketed. I think Wilson went with "Braid 45" because it is instantly more credible than most racquet tech for that reason.

Hey Prestige Heads! Please can someone help me? I’ve had the prestige line for c.15 years and love them. Most recently I had the head prestige 360+ mp and loved it- sadly, a stringer broke it in the machine and although he kindly replaced it with a the ‘21 Auxetic Prestige pro, I just can’t seem to get the same amount of topspin and am hitting a lot of shots/kick serves long. Really infuriating! Especially as I love the look and feel of it in my hand. Can anyone either recommend a good string set up for spin, or perhaps a similar racket with similar weight and thin beam etc that feels the same but can generate more spin? Otherwise I’ll have to just hunt around for the mp 2019 versions again- thanks!

Probably not gonna get a new prestige it’s a 95 square Head probably end up getting the Federer 349 so it’s okay I’m for somebody that’s under 6 foot I think 100 in.² head it’s just too much if the player is decent and has good technique if they’re not so good maybe a bigger head can help them but if you’re a good player your power should come naturally and 98 should be plenty unless you’re over 6 foot tall if you’re only 5.8 height then I think 100 in.² head can cause your mid vertebrae to play up with your shoulder blade action anyhow that’s my opinion on it they need to make a 98 in.² head has 16 x 19 string pattern that’s all I have to do really and not everyone’s a professional like me just people sitting in an office twiddling their thumbs having a Guess what can you to turn up PRO

I think they should just make 1619 and 320 g 98 in.² head I think they would have a spot on I’m is the weight With 320 g and have to be called a pro anything over 315 I have an 310 it’s starting to hit events of the sea with 98 in.² head that’s pretty much a small as you can go without affecting the power too much

100 in.² are used to use the Djokovic racket and I don’t like 100 in.² are used it for a long time and it gave me a lot of vertebrae issues because 100 in.² head if you’re using the racket correctly I feel is for tour player somebody about 5.8 98 in.² is plenty and if you’re shorter and 95 in.² the old Federer rackets that’s all they were is 95 in.² I love playing with it if you’re skilful or you can play by textbook hitting the sweet spot even though 95 in.² shouldn’t be any problem so I find adding weight and a smaller head is much better the bigger head does give you more power but I think you have to be tall otherwise I think you’ll be more accurate with a smaller head easier than control and lighter on their wrist too big of a head on your racket if you’re not Novak Djokovic with his kinda height iPhone can cause you a lot of injuries so 98 in.² perfect enough power and enough accuracy

@domneu7 3 жыл бұрын
HEAD already has a big variety of rackets, nonetheless I would be interested to see a prestige pro (old mp) additionally offered in a 16x19 string pattern. Same that babolat does for the pure strike line and Wilson for the blade.

95 I don’t think I’ll have much problem but it would wrap black power hasn’t got as much trampoline as a 98 and these days I think you need at least a 98 scream inches Hundred gets a bit much don’t use it any more just cause the injury issues

You might be right about sales, but there's lots of 18×20's out there, it's just people seemed scared off by 95" frames. "Sweet spot" wise it doesn't make much difference imo, an off center hit is an off center hit. But the way a 95 moves through the air is perfect for me.

I’ve got a spitfire to not bad it’s got enough power if you bring the machine forward to watching it I look from the baseline about halfway could have a bit more power of a thing when you had the top spin the power reduces and I do Max it out it’s hard playing though it’s not easy I’ll come dripping sweat no time but does the job quite pleased with it need no more it says to put it on the baseline that’s just bring it for 2 m and the ball the flying at you problem fixed but like I said could I have a bit more power because when you add this play top spin you lose power so you MAX it out in that sense like you can’t have Max Power and Max top spin or you can but you lose power so that’s annoying and needs more speed more speed then top spin when you add top spin are correct the power to match
@Maverick06723

Yeah I might check it out I do love my 95 in.² I just find them 98 has more trampoline if I’m playing really hard hitters when I’m cruising on my own I’m just a blue machine I’ll pull out and 95 just for something different or just to make it a bit easier the sweet spot doesn’t matter to me It up that’s it

Hey I started off with a radical and then I went to Djokovic is and I having back issues is 100 in.² head so now I stick to 98 and 95 but I need a 98 to compete for the extra power that the beer head gives you and I guess it starts to suit the heavier weights I’m so addicted to my MP that almost don’t want a new one but I do think a racket will give me a bit more top spin would help me like a put a bit more up top so I can punch every single ball there’s a wire fence not just a couple do you want to show how it’s done properly precision and ultimate weight speed and strength the precision I should be advertising for you guys

95 in.² I’ve got a Federer that’s 95 one of his old ones and I can use that easy but he’s a new one with a 98 in.² head with all of the weight it’s too much for me I’ve only got back into training the last a little while not too long and enough with work unfortunately need to do it to fund coaching and everything else but I’m like you I love the MP which one I’m using now I missed out on the red one after that and I might buy the new one I find with a string pattern the MP isn’t tops in family but anyway that’s good because it’s made me create it with movement put in a match something a bit more tops in Finley might give me an extra on edge which we always drive to get even better and never ends as part of the Fun

18 nine teen should give a bit more top spin which I think it needs to be a little bit more user-friendly but I find the MP which really is a pro who did that anyway is raw and he’s probably one of the best rackets of ever used besides of Federer I’ve got one of his old ones at 95 in.² head I love it but I’ve gotta omit the MP head well it’s a bit more up-to-date and I also use the Mantis 95 in.² head and a 215 g I’ve got a 205 fantastic something different and obviously it can’t compete with the position always chasing the weight I am I’ve started off at 300 g and now 320 g plus strings comfortable with that delivers enough power to deliver over 200 K shot I think you could probably get to 10 out of it after that I think you’ll need something heavier like the Federer I think if you can head to 220 230 That’s not much more needed than that but you definitely need to have a stick and 320 g and to be very silent to JIM for a good period the Mantis is a great racket putting it out there it’s deserves every bit

I think I had to do to improve it was put 16 x 19 it’s just a guess obviously I haven’t played with a 16 x 19 because mines 18 x 20 which is fine I do like it and I think 16 x 19 is more friendly for top spin but I do like the position and the way I can pinpoint my shots with 18 x 20 okay really hit it is actually where I want it I’ve gotta work hard for the tops in though like good fast powerful top spin if I get it wrong it’s sort of bounces a pie and makes an easy shop for the other player and I love the racket

Hi tennis nerd, I love the prestige line of rackets but they are a bit too heavy in stock form to customize (adding leather grip and weight to bump up the swing weight and you end up at 350/360 grams strung) Do you have any rackets suggestions that offers a stock weight with possibility to customize in that 295/305 grams range ? Maybe a blade ? Thank you for your help, Morgan

Yeah I’ve got the MP the old one yeah I love it I’m gonna try out the new one just to get a new model but I’m a bit behind there was a red one anyhow it’s pretty awesome I don’t know why they caught at the MP when it’s really the PRO they’re really fucked up there

I want to get the 2021 prestige MP L, but I live in the United States. Do you know if the MP L is going to be available in the United States? I know the 2019 Prestige S was not available in the US.

One thing I needed to do is probably put new strings in it are used it was standard the red one and they’re bit loose but I loved it it was a great racket low power out of there 98 in.² head I like 120 g MP better it’s just a more powerful racket but sometimes if I haven’t trained I want something with a smaller head until I build back up to reduce the stress cause I might not be pro Nading sometimes until I get the rhythm the smaller head purchases Stress on the giants I saw was definitely in the racket bag even though it’s red read to me means it’s a bit lighter kind of thing I love you were keep me posted

Looks a little like Dunlops CX200+ older range. Out of all the Prestige's I found the Tour or MP with 99 frame and 18x19 pattern the best to play with. With the added weight could be interesting for a future re-visit

Than you for the analysis, but a have a quick question regarding the previous Prestige S or the new one MP L, what does it mean when you say is a “Tweener” racquet?

Thanks for the video?! Do you think the new Prestige MP is quite similar to Gravity Tour (with 4 grams added)? I wanted to try the Prestige and understand that this should be the option (I dont want a 16-19 string pattern).

The Mid is not remotely difficult to use. People need to open their minds. 93 head size really isn't that small or challenging.
@JW-bw8nj

Completely agree. My main racquet is a Prince Spectrum Comp 90. I have no more difficulty hitting the middle of the strings with it than I do with my Babolat Pure Drive. The difference between a 93 and 98 head size is BARELY noticable.
@transamination
@transamination 3 жыл бұрын
@@JW-bw8nj The difference definitely has an effect on performance though. I find a 93 so much more manoeuvrable than 98.
@JW-bw8nj

@@transamination All else being equal, I agree. However, usually the larger head sized racquets are also lighter which increases the maneuverability. I guess it's all personal preference. Midsize racquets feel "right" to me.

A 347 swing weight? That's perfect for me - I've adjusted mine down from 365. Just would put on head tape to protect the racket - no need to add lead. There's only one player I know other than me would be happy with a swing weight that high. They definitely will have some unhappy customers doing that.

Can you compare the 97D vs the new Auxetic Pro ?
@chrismarcoux3575
@chrismarcoux3575 3 жыл бұрын
I understand the decision to "align" the submodels (pro = thinner beam, 18x20, etc), but there are going to be some upset customers who order the "wrong" model by accident. I appreciate the explanation here, but Head shouldn't be relying on KZbinrs. They could start with their own website, which isn't as clear about the change as it could be.

Yeah that old Sharapova with the oval head I gotta say it was a great racket the speed is a great racket I just find the heads too big for my height the radical I love that haven’t had that out for a long time that’s a really good but the MP320 Awesome don’t know why it made it red and they had a good thing when it was going red and black some of the older ones for a ride to not really a fan of the red it just doesn’t turn me on
