To be fair he absolutely was treated differently his entire career with the time clock. It was only enforced in recent years but it was always there and he would regularly take 45 seconds between points between 2005-2011 only when JoeCovid started doing the exact same thing with his ball bouncing that everyone realized ok enough is enough the matches are 6 hrs long.
