I love rock music, but Finland is rubbish this year imo. There's a reason Rasmuss had only 1 big hit, and their entry for Eurovision makes this reason obvious imo. Their previous entry was the same, though slightly better than this years. Finland can do better in the rock genre. Try sending Nightwish for example and you'll have an actual shot at winning.

This was so so hard to predict! I was so happy for Romania and actually voted for them, I also voted for Czech and Ireland. So Devastated for Brooke as I'm Irish too but live in Australia. I am still excited for the final! Did you see the lineup yet? Can't wait for your thoughts on it

thanks for voting for Romania, so many upbeat acts got overlooked by the juries it's criminal. I think Ireland finished 11th due to Belgium getting big juries support to get 10th slot.

This semi healed my heart a little. Estonia, Poland and Romania were the countries I desperately wanted to qualify, and they all made it in. ^^ I mean, Poland was obvious but I was so scared for Estonia because of the sun issues, I think I made everyone needlessly nervous with my Estonia chanting in the chat 😅. I actually let out an embarrassingly loud scream when Romania qualified, I'd lost hope since they were called so late. 😂 Way better than semi 1 which was just full of heartbreak and sadness for me, since none of my favorites made it. I predicted every country right apart from Belgium, but I don't mind that one qualifying either.

Hi Tom, glad you tweaked and re-uploaded this. I think Ireland finished 11th, Belgium was 10th thanks to the juries (similar to what happened with Albania and Switzerland). Now the grand final will be a snoozefest in the middle with so many slow songs. Ireland, San Marino & Israel should be proud they performed really well. We have more than 1 Albina this year.

yea i wouldnt be too desperate about it. Like i think they did lots of stuff right, but like WHERE WAS THE REVAMP?! That seems like such an obvious oversight to me. why did they leave themselves so much work to do coming in 18th in the QF odds. Definitely some positives to take from all this, but i dont think "we did everything and didnt QF" is accurate at all keep in mind around 10 pop bangers qualified last year. 😅

Think our HoD has to seriously produce a national final with a lot more diversity and then roll the dice and see what lands. My feelings aren't actually that hurt. Ireland , Malta , San Marino and North Macedonia deserved to be there (North Macedonia was and is my mom's favorite so she was a little butt hurt) but also some great acts that aren't ballads like Estonia , Czech Republic , Belgium and Romania went through so I'm very content. Belgium really turned the beat around and actually so did Azerbaijan.

Ireland deserved to qualify, period. Good vocals live in comparison to others like Cyprus's and good staging for the first time in a while. If Ireland can't qualify with Brooke, they can't qualify ever again! My father is from an Irish family and even he said it was good! My mother HATED Romania's song, considering it 'the reason why people perceive Eurovision to be bad' and wanted Ireland to qualify too! Finland on the other hand gave me creepy IT vibes and the staging was very risqué.

Honestly the song wasn't bad as it was. The bit before the last chorus where the fireworks are shot out from the stage is definitely the most memorable and impactful part that made me think she was gonna qualify. Only big shock for me in the Semi Finals tbh.

Ok take three: serbia called last was horrible. Eurovision don t do that again. Gutted for Ireland and San Marino. I mean really really gutted. Yet another year…..one semi massively steonger than the other…….can solething be done ? Any thoughts ? Many will disagree but i get the impression small countries are being penalised. Unless they have something in the « fuego league will just not get anywhere. Other countries seem to be able to easily sail through with average songs. Sorry but Michael Ben David was kind of out of order bombing the presenters like that when voting opened. Does anyone else think it might have backfired ?

Omg lol Sean I’m sorry. The first two videos got blocked 😂😂😂😂 Yea really sad for San Marino and Ireland too. I feel whoever were 10th in semi final 1 were quite lucky. I don’t know what to do about semi imbalances. It’s also quite subjective as I thought semi 2 was way stronger but I know others who thought 1 was better. Personally I feel bops are slightly penalised too much, although they did well last year so don’t know whether it’s just a normal ebb and flow.

Felt like Belgium and Finland do not deserve their place in the final. Both are very generic songs and both had problems. Belgium just didn't connect to the audience and was messy, Finland also messy and the song just has no punch to it. Feels like a B-side. Much rather we had San Marino who served and Ireland or Georgia, who I felt just had a much better package. Suspect Belgium is through on jury as well, not televote. I've been saying for a while now that Belgium is in with a Swedish song, meaning that it's the sort of soulless pop Sweden is known for, the sort that juries will vote for because they are random bastards in the music industry who have accepted the idea subconsciously that commercial viability is equal to quality which if you think about it is a way of thinking that is quite essential to the music industry. Kind of ironic then that Sweden is in with a song that is trying the hardest to not be soulless like this.

Belgium qualified with both and totally deserved. He was vocally top. There was nothing generic about it. Ireland and Georgia were generic, or simple extremely bad and that's why they didn't qualified.
