That's one man who's aged gracefully. He was rather nerdy when he was young. Now look at him! He's a complete stud! I think that has to do with following his dreams and never giving up. When you accomplish them it reflects in your body, mind, and spirit. Really enjoyed this video and learning about his story. Until now, I only knew him as "Serena's coach."

Enjoyed hearing your story, Patrick! Looking forward to watching your and your players continued success. You seem to bring some needed refreshing energy to tennis.

So glad for you that you eventually had the opportunity and courage to follow your dream. Generations of young players will benefit from the fact that you didn’t give up. To be a tennis star is one thing but to be a mentor to the tennis stars is another thing and in my opinion probably far higher leverage and contribution than achieving individual glory. I love your videos and I love the way you teach. Bravo to you.

He's great but Richard Williams had already gotten Serena 13 Grand Slams, not including doubles and Venus's slam victories. No coach can ever say they've won more. Patrick is a genius at what he does and has certainly elevated Serena's career and game level. But, I hope tennis history doesn't forget those girl's dad and (his-story) history.

@@roter13 In 4:22, Mouratoglou said "Before 2012 she had already won 13 grand slams". Seems like he acknowledges her talent was already phenomenal before he started teaching her. No one forced her to change coaches.

Shawn, definitely agree. I believe Richard Williams deserves a place in the Tennis HOF. Call me crazy! Serena needed a new voice and Patrick was that voice.

It was Serena's choice. There must be a reason to that. After her 13 GS, she was lost. Mouratoglou bring her on track.

Excellent story. 'Genius' tennis coach. Outstanding results. With Serena Williams, 10 majors; Stefi Graf record down. Margaret Court's faux record in sight with Serena in semis at 2019 Wimbledon. Perfect match...made in 'tennis' heaven. I couldn't be more pleased as a Serena Williams fan.

Richard Williams fathered, protected, trained, guided, nurtured, loves his Venus and Serena through the important years of their life. USTA should recognize him for that!🎯👍
