Most of those people haven't been following his steady rise. He's playing even better in Rome than when he won Auckland. Shelton & Fleece flopped in the SFs there, but Tablet took out Taro in the final. Seems like whenever Ben goes bust, Tableaux rises.

United Cup is still the best Serverev's played all season. Unreal level. He wanted to win that gold medal so bad. Played very well at AO to reach the SF, but the forehand was slightly more inconsistent. Rome is the best Zverify has played since then, tbh. Actually hitting his spots on serve again & accelerating through his forehand not just pushing it around the court.

Per usual, but Serverev did hit his spots MUCH better against On the Fritz & accelerated through his forehand. Sometimes Sashay serves well, but when he doesn't hit his spots they can get their racket on it which leads to extended rallies which he loses when just pushing the forehand around. Same with Hubi.

The coach was dropping tennis balls in front of the kid and the kid would groundstroke them... but he HAD to make a loud grunt EVERY time he hit the ball. I think kids (and adults) think this is now necessary and has been for a long time (Remember Seles?) WHY? Why do pros have to grunt and squeak or squeal or whatever with EVERY stroke? As expected, the Serverev vs Macy's Inc. match did not disappoint. Someone put Alicia Keys' Fallin' on their tennis playlist! That's what both guys did in the 1st set such was the quality of their opponent's return. Both played well, but Serverev was NOT going to let the match go after getting bloodied up. His pinkie knuckle will be x-rayed. We even got a DEEP corner crotch shot moment as Alexis pulled back his shorts down LOW to inspect the errant clay that had migrated south. Keep going, don't be shy now... In dance class, they teach you how to fall properly, but Sashay did not. NEVER try to break your fall. It only makes it worse. You will fudge up your hand. Even though he continued to hit his backhand well despite The Fall, Zverify upped the aggression even more on his forehand just in case. Accelerate or lose, there's no other way when it come to that shot. As for Asian-Chili, it wasn't the most electric match compared BuBenik Plague's doubles, but justice for Shelton as Tableaux delivers another solid performance to put ZZZ to bed. THREE lefties in a row fell before Table said you won't take my seat! To the left, Beyoncé! Shelton's meteoric rise has seemingly pushed all the other lefties on tour to show up & be counted. Dare I say, Tabby Cat is quickly rising to become the next star lefty on tour alongside Benjamina & Humble. Chilly Maple is now the 4th highest LH after this Roman run. I knew from the Auckland title win he'd be one to watch for the season. Now, he's playing even better. Plus, Tablet has those big, old man ears that say grab me, I know you wanna!

His Asian opponent is often referred to as Triple Z aka sleep. 3) Zverev is known for his 1st serve. His first name is Alex aka Sasha. 4) 5) The Fall is a Surrealist film starring Lee Pace & was made by the same director & costume designer pair who did The Cell starring JLo. It was also later referenced by Gaga in her 911 music video. 5) Bubonic Plague spread across Europe which is where we remain until the US hard court swing. Technically, it still exists.

Zvered's bloody fall distracted Frizzle & made him dump his backhand into the net. This brought the score to 40-0 for Serverev which made getting the crucial early break against Frizzle even easier after the lengthy medical timeout. Then a couple games later Fratz also fell, but luckily it wasn't as serious.

man, is Zverev getting louder? and the double grunt??? its not as loud as Alcaraz , but... holy crap what is happening. this is too much grunting guys. geez. imagine them at home. opening a door, or sneezing. or in the bedroom hahahahaha. the neighbours would be annoyed. Imagine Alcaraz picking up the salt at the table and handing it. how many super loud grunts would that be

Has Zverev always been so vocal? --- so vocal during every freakin' swing of his racket? When it's so loud and so constant, and when yells sound more like yelps I think this peculiarity becomes not merely a distraction but a hinderance to this other player.

Child, please. They were hammering the ball both on serve & in their groundies. When you're hitting with that much force in an extended rally that's over 20 shots, you'e going to grunt loudly to keep up the pace, duh.

At :54, the ref is actually committing hindrance. Not totally kidding when I say I'll be making the ATP and ITF aware of this. You can't and shouldn't do that. It is interference and alters the players' decisions to challenge calls. Dummy move.
