The best tricky player ever and the most underrated player. I love his unorthodox style, it's been 7 years already but still watching how he played.

this was a much better match than the highlights would make you believe. Zverev wasn't bad at all Mayer was just in the form of his life in halle. And this was the tournament that pretty much announced Zverev to the world. He definitely wasn't a one-off player.

That forehand of Mayer was a stroke of genius! Nothing like it in the game at that time, and will probably never be again. Loved watchin g him play when he was playing.

I loved his unconventional style. I dislike the excessive focus on technique from so many coaches and players today. Self belief, competitive fire, and great genetics are the 3 most important keys to success. The overemphasis on technique is simply a marketing gimic. Coaches who couldn't make it need a way to make money off of impressionable kids and ignorant parents.

Florian could have won more titles except for those injuries...same with Nishikori and del Potro
