I disagree, Hewitt was at his peak in 2004-2005 and only got beat by a prime time Federer and Safin who beat Federer at the AO in 2005 by playing the match of his life..Hewitt beat Sampras at the USopen also.

...amd men absolutely hate being lobbed. I had a match where i won a set point by lobbing and the guy packed his stuff and left the court. in another match, the guy threw his racket at me across the net. he apologized though. it's like their egos were broken because i hit a damn lob.

Sorry to say, but this is not an Andy Murray thing. Andre Agassi was doing this way way back in the 80s and was spectacular at it. Oddly enough, Andy’s favorite player growing up was Andre Agassi.

It's shocking to me how bad the average ATP player actually is at playing lobs. I can honestly say that I know some high level club players who lob better than some ATP guys. It's like they never practice it.🤔😒

It’s super hard to lob a pro, most of them are 6’6 and can run it down if you don’t hit it perfectly, plus when they come to net it’s with like a 90 mph forehand to corner

Play a pro and lob them. Their overheads r 100x better than your club players and if they cant smash they can easily run it down. The lobs Murray did here r offensive lobs not defensive, meaning they came with top spin and pace. Its a really difficult shot.

No he does not. Of the big 3, the best lobs are Federer>Djokovic>Nadal. Murray has the best lobs in tennis though. Better than Hewitt, who was better than Federer, who was better than Agassi, who was better than Djokovic or Nadal.
