Hurkacz is so underrated this year how many unbelievable shots he made wow
@AnthonyHirsch Жыл бұрын
he kinda reminds me of medvedev in a way in which his strokes are kinda weird but the guy pulls off some of the craziest shots yet rarely is his shotmaking talked about. meddy obviously on another level but both don't really get their fair share and respect in that way. both two of the most talented players on tour easily.
@centurionyt431 Жыл бұрын
He isn't underrated, he is just inconsistent. His serve is also kinda a crutch that he needs to win a match. If he doesn't hit 20 aces he won't win against anyone in the top 10.
@henriquedantas8444 Жыл бұрын
@@AnthonyHirsch I wouldn't say medvedev is in another level, specially if we consider this season. Hurcakz has also won the matches he played against medvedev this year and won in 2021 aswell, at wimblendom.
@AnthonyHirsch Жыл бұрын
@@henriquedantas8444 yea no Im a fan of hurkacz but I disagree, Medvedev is easily one of the best three, four players in the world and there is no argument you can make of this kind for hubi; meddy is just unbeatable except by the top top guys when he plays his best. I also rate hubi highly but I think he's more of a solid player almost always beating the players below him but he doesn't really have a solid enough forehand or the weapons to really get past that, besides simply being a bit dangerous to everyone on tour. Meddy comes in with high high chances against everyone cause he's not just solid or dangerous, he plays one of the highest levels in the world consistently and is the challenge for any player- hubi can be that but not to Meddy's level and certainly doesn't do it as considtently. Meddy is another level above, hubi can challenge him tho there's no doubt I always enjoy their matches.

Let's go for some pointless info: Alcaraz has the most hot shots with 8. Behind him is a tie between Paul, Hurkacz and Musetti with 5. Then with 4, another tie between Medvedev, Djokovic and Kyrgios. 4th place is no different: RBA, Monfils, Fritz, Rublev and Nadal (last year's champ) with 3. As for he losing side, Tsitsipas is the biggest punching bag with 6, scoring only 1 miserable hot shot. Ruud and Hurkacz worked like hell but couldn't manage to avoid 4 hot shots on them. An absurd tie on 3rd place: Alcaraz, Kyrgios, Djoko, Davidovich Fokina, Fritz, Rune, De Minaur all with 3 appearances. Musetti has the most perfect record with 5/0, then Medvedev with 4/0 and Rublev with 3/0. Alcaraz also has a positive record (8/3) and Paul with 5/2. As for the other side of this spectrum, Andujar, Coria and Norrie only showed up twice on the losing side, meanwhile Davidovich Fokina at least got one hot shot (1/3 record). But no one compares to Baby Tsitsipas with 1/6.
