My name is Nat and I am a gothic operatic singer, actor and voice artist based in the heart of Kent, England. Music has always played an important part in my life as a musician and I love to use my platform on KZbin to share it in my music reactions.
I work on the basis of a reaction should be just that, you don't get another crack at it! What you see from me is the real deal. I don't pre-screen anything I see or work from tight scripts. I'm completely open, emotive and sensitive with my audience.

No, she's a soprano, not a mezzo, yet she can sing alto roles. She has hit F6s in live performances and can sit comfortably on a C6 all day. Range. We're talking range.

Floor is a full soprano (!), not a mezzo, her comfortable range goes up to D6, and she is recorded up to F6, her range is ridiculous.

@@corneliusantonius3108 If you mean that her range overlaps both the typical ranges of soprano's AND mezzo-soprano's and maybe even alto's (as in this song): your are right! But normally people classify singers by the top of their range, and that is fully soprano...

@@rientsdijkstra4266 A heared Mezzo soprano a lot when she is compared to Simone Simons or Tarja. But looking at Wiki I think you are more right technically. Alsoo this is mentioned: "The mezzo-soprano voice type is generally divided into the coloratura, lyric, and dramatic mezzo-soprano." Floor being a Unicorn might earn her a new Class of Soprano.

@@corneliusantonius3108 That would be a nice one: the Floor Soprano (which is an alto, a mezzo and a soprano all in one)! But you are right: what makes Floor a bit mezzo-like is the warm and full tone.

Floor is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get.

Floor is a full soprano, although she does not really like any form of classifications. She uses"good", "mediocre" and "bad". But even there, she finds it extremely difficult to judge others, as she is a HSP and empathic. So, she generally does not make any qualifications apart for her own singing. And she is a perfectionist for herself. This is the reason why she would never enter competitive singing or even sit in a jury. That is a well known fact.

this song was originally written for Anette .. who was the singer before Floor .. Anette is a jazz singer .. her studio recording of this song is pretty amazing .. not to take any thing away from Floor .. you may like that one also .. very good reaction Nat ... well done ..

Growing up with a jazz drummer father.. Now im debating with myself. I used to think that If i had to take one CD with me to a deserted island IT would Be NW Tampere live show. Now Full Record of Floor singing Jazz sounds like competitor 💪
