Roy Kahn was born to sing. His love for wife and child tore him away from his band and fame. He missed them too much to continue. If you want fame, stay single and work your ass off! The record company pays for everything so if you do not sell millions of albums you are broke all the time. You had better love cheap pizza and beer and love living out of suit cases and crappy hotels if you want to make it to the top. Most of the time you are stuck on a crappy bus living with your band mates and arguing all the time. It gets old and stressful real quick. It is a real tough life. If you want fame, be ready to have no love and no family. That is the price of fame. I have been there and I could not bear the stress and poverty that dreams are made of. So you had better want it bad! It comes at a great price! You can be the greatest guitar player singer or whatever and still be poor and stressed out. Record sales and selling out venues is what gets you paid so you had better be the best or struggle and get burned out. Music is a very tough business to be in! No matter your talent, you have endless competition and endless talent trying to out do you. There are so many great bands out there that it is harder than ever to be number 1.
