Four years later, how are you doing? Are you still playing? I have just ordered an Aulos 211A tenor recorder. Never played one before and am looking forward to the challenge 😊❤

Have you considered using paper to mute it? I do this if i want to practice early in the morning or if my roommates need a break

How do you mute it with paper? I think I'd like to try that.

That looks like an Aulos Robin. I've got one on of those. I prefer it the keyed tenor I have because I can get consistent low notes from it.

Don't tell me that the Robin tenor doesn't make good low notes! Wow! I was going to order on Amazon because my Yamaha one makes me tense a lot my right hand even with the keys.

Getting the low notes can be tricky sometimes with my Aulos. I think the keyed recorders are probably a lot easier to play but I haven't experienced one yet. Enjoy your practice! 🙂

I am improvising, yes, just playing whatever I feel like. I find it very relaxing to not be caged by a sheet of music. Have fun!
