This is the Aussie Vocal Coach Tenor Warm Up. The tenor voice, also known as vocal fach, is the highest male voice type (apart from counter-tenor) above baritone and bass. The tenor vocal range is usually between B2 and B4 however some singers may be able to sing slightly lower or higher than this vocal range and sustain a higher tessitura.
The 8 vocal warm up exercises in this routine will activate your diaphragm, connect your cords, warm up your singing resonance, chest voice, mixed voice and head voice range so that you can sing with confidence, tone quality and power through your tenor range.
Remember vocal warmups are designed to stretch your voice so sing each vocal exercise gently and avoid pushing or straining your voice. if an exercise ever feels too high or low stop and move on.

This exercise really helps me to rediscover my changing voice. I used to be a contralto all my adult life. With starting menopause my voice suddenly changed and dropped so that I am now fully in the tenor range. It is weird to discover a new singing voice with 47. Thank you.

This warm up, along with Riffs and Runs, Head Voice, Mixed Voice, Vocal Range, and Top Down warm up, not necessarily in that order, is a very excellent repertoire I have adopted for my voice every 2-3 days. I have increased my upper vocal range, both diaphragm and head voice, and there is no longer a feeling of voice strain anymore following these exercises using low to medium output, as well as singing a few actual songs afterward....Looking to further increase my upper range over time....Thanks Ian!!!

I go to a music school and it’s not uncommon for a female to sing in the tenor section. I find the lower the voices often can have a richer tone, but a sopranos can still sound rich when you find the correct resonance in your chest and mask of the face.

@@karthikkumar5341 Oh, hello, how are you? I felt some changes mainly in the highs, but thanks to the exercises I also noticed some strange difficulties in my voice, I can use the head and mix voice when the voice is NOT warm, but when it is warm it is very difficult to reach these same highs, as if I heard a lock preventing me from making the transition, I even thought of making a video to show it, because I don't understand the cause or how to "fix" it. But about the exercises I'm really impressed. Thank you very much for making them available
