Thank you, I have MTD from stress. A history of being told I can't/wasn't allowed to sing. My mum was actually a piano teacher, and while she was never mean, I just didn't have the natural talent she did, or her favourite students did. And because she was always sick with migraines I certainly never felt like I could practice much. Then I ended up in a 13 year relationship when he hated me listening to music , let alone sing! I was told off for daring to have a "tone" in my voice when I spoke to him. So I basically stopped talking a decade. Then I ended up in talking jobs 😅 after leaving him. Was doing well for a few years, and then had a double whammy in life and I started having major issues with voice and finally got diagnosed with MTD. Lost my job. 6 years later I'm starting again. Relearning myself! Thank you for this!!!!

It actually made me cry at the begining. You just kept me motivated. The fact that you just made this clear statement and said that it's about the will, patience, and training your voice and that all people have to start somewhere. You in just 5 mins supported me and calmed me down, instead of my own mother who is mocking me behind my back about wanting to be a singer, and the thing is that the money isn't the problem, the support is just not there and it's making me not to want to sing ever again. But I changed my mind I will do it again thanks to you.

cheryl mama i love you so much 😭 Singing has always been the dream of my entire life. I want to open people's souls with my music, but the path to it has been very difficult. I live in a country where I don’t understand the language, and all attempts to study vocals with a teacher were unsuccessful. I cried so many times because I couldn’t start fulfilling my mission. I know I have a beautiful voice, but I didn’t know how to reveal it. I am infinitely grateful to God that my prayers were answered. Thank you for such strong support, I love you very much. Thank you to that little Cheryl who didn’t give up and reached her goal.
@Angie_kitty14Ай бұрын
At the beginning, I cried like never before, because just as you explained it, that's how I feel, I love singing, dancing, playing instruments, music at its best. I also love art in every sense, musical art, painting, the art of dancing, even ice skating or rhythmic gymnastics. But all the people around me tell me to stop dreaming about this, that singing, dancing and playing the piano can only serve as a hobby, but I don't see it that way, I see it as the part of me, that makes me I, I want to make a living from dancing and singing, and live for it, show it to the world, write my own songs, and if God allows me one day to be on stage and say "This is me" and for people to love me. both my voice and I do it. I am also low-income, and I put my best effort into learning online with videos, especially yours, because you transmit to me that vibe of trust and affection that people who are by my side today do not give me, I learn to play piano from 0 only with tutorial videos, I want to work so I can pay for dance classes, but I'm only 15 years old. My dream is to be a singer and dancer, and to be able to go far, I know that school is important and I work hard at it, but when we talk about future careers, I feel like I don't fit in, as if my future wasn't there, and everyone tells me I need to start settling down or else I'm just going to end up failing in life. But even with the world against me, I made the choice to follow my dream, my possibilities are low but not zero and I cling to them every day. My mother told me that if I was going to follow this "absurd" dream I would do it alone, and here I am. :) My name is Angelina, I am from Chile and I swear by what I love most, that one day you will see me on stage ☆

You don't know how much I needed to hear this story! I love love love to sing. I volunteer for every choir, sing at every talent show. But I'm not that one that people seek our to lead songs despite my desire. I have a ten year old prodigy, they ask her to sing and she absolutely loves it. I'm so glad that she doesn't have to experience the rejection I feel, showing up for every practice, working three times as hard, yet watching someone put in minimum effort because the can just show up and blow! Oh but God has worked on my heart about that, now I'm embracing my voice, being happy loving my own voice because I don't want my sadness to diminish my daughter's natural ability. I see her as a special gift from God, reminding me, he sees me😊

thank you for sharing your testimony. I come from a lower-class family and always longed for singing lessons as well, but we couldn't afford them. That never stopped me from singing my little heart out, and just from that I continue to see improvement in my voice. I finished up my freshman year of college last school year, and it was like a wakeup call to me. I faced so much rejection when it came to my voice and hobbies. (like joining the advanced choir and making the cast list for theatre for both fall and spring plays, the fall play was a musical) I felt defeated, and my self-esteem dropped. However, that still didn't stop me from singing, nothing could destroy my love for singing. In a matter of fact, it only made me determined to improve it. I already saw improvement in my pitch and ability to sing on-key just by being in their concert choir. And I recorded me singing last month (in June), and I compared my singing from this month and last, and I see so much improvement, that it feels like my voice is more open and alive! I am always looking at your page for extra help and when I saw this video I decided to watch it. And I'm glad I did because your story at the beginning gave me hope that it is possible for me to be good at singing! Thank you, Cheryl, for all that you do! :D

When I can't sleep, I sing and sleep, when I'm feeling bad, I sing and I'm happy, so sing, make me feel very happy! But I have problems: I don't have opportunities at school and I haven't found any singing teachers in my city, so I feel so bad! And what's more: my sister told me that I don't know how to sing, and that I have no talent, and that makes me cry a lot. Now I'm crying writing this, because it's my dream, and I don't know how to make that dream come true! I have friends who also have this dream, but not all of us know how to achieve it. I feel grateful to find this woman, really I was moved by her story and I think many people could relate. I want to learn to sing but I can't because my parents don't trust me and I can't afford to pay for lessons.

Thank you for sharing. Listening to u got me really emotional all of the sudden caught me by surprise. But your story although very different it’s exactly the same for me. I grew up the opposite of poor. Dad was a doctor but as a singer I might as well been poor. I didn’t want anything he was offering but still had to pretend. It wasn’t until end of highschool that I could invest in myself. I just wanted to let you know that it could also happen that way and have all the resources in the world but just not for that. It’s like thinking it’s heaven except oh just one little thing u can’t do …..u just can’t breathe 😉. Been making a living making music for years. Now Dad is a big supporter prob because I’ve done things financially as big as he did. And now he’s retired so it’s even more fun.
