Regarding Türkiye, I was a proponent of them joing for a long time I just think in the mid 2010s Erdogan became a bit too authoritarian, death penalty is also a nogo in EU etc. so yeah like I said, the process needs to be done right but I don't think Georgia would necessarily be opposed to such adaptions for integration, I'm sure it could well work out. Also, times always change as we see clearly now, Georgians don't have DNA that makes them 'Russian bullies' or something like you say and we are clearly entering a new chapter of our world, with a majority of countries yearning for peaceful coexistence and safety. Maybe in a few years after reperations and good education of the Russian people like we did with Germany to clear out a lot of the unfortunate ideas of their government, they can rejoin us as well and prosper together. It has happened many times you know, France UK were mortal enemies, Japan became a great ally after WW2 to the country that nuked them, Germany Austria etc. like I said. A few good years with good leaders that inspire transformation and reforms for the good of their people can do a lot. We should try to evolve beyond medieval empire mindsets. From an EU 🇪🇺 citizen to the soon Georgian EU 🇬🇪🇪🇺 citizens: To understand some of the EU hesitance is quite difficult in such times - for all of us. The EU's origin was primarily economic, slowly it turned and turns more and more to a Union like the US. The feeling of "We are Europe" like perfectly demonstrated by the Georgians (although not yet club members) came much later and is now much stronger than ever. Georgia will be very welcome in the EU as is the Ukraine, sometimes it takes more time to adapt the EU systems but I truly hope it will become much faster now after seeing how strong we are united against authoritarian systems like Russia under putin. I'm also starting to think that maybe the stories that made Eastern states look so strange to West Europe are based on Russian propaganda. I am normally very well informed but I was very much surprised how modern, open, democratic and friendly many East European states are. Yes, of course some laws, humanitarian rights have to be changed, but the will of the people for a positive change is incredible. The EU has to learn to make the application processes much more open, open and easy to understand for all people, not just bureaucrats that studied it. PS it's sad that the UK left the EU, partly based on a lot of lies and money from putin's Russia without love.

It was meant to make war between Germany and France impossible, by placing the two main raw materials needed for arms under a supernational authority (the predecessor of the European Commission). The treaty of Rome established the EEC in 1957 and already spoke about an ever closer Union. Although the EU started out mostly working on economic integration you have to realize this was the method, not the goal. (The goal was always a unified and peacefull Europe. (Which everyone knew, except for the British).)

We would love to have you in the Eu family, Georgia, but understand that we are NOT interested in a war over this. That war wouldnt be on central EU territory but on yours, and I dont want that to happen!! As much as the Russian opression might suck, they arent shooting at you yet.
