I was working as a contractor in Toronto and had this song blaring in my work van. Belting it out (not as well as Anthony obviously) so into it that I didn't realise I'd stopped at a red light and everyone could see and hear me. Fun fact... Simon Cowell considers "Unchained Melody" the greatest song ever written. He's only approved of one cover of it which was song live on season 2 of American Idol by Clay Aiken.... and now I think we have a 2nd cover approved. I’m sitting here in floods of tears. Your rendition of this just blew me away and is probably the best I’ve heard. I used to dance to this with my dad when we used to go to functions. My mum never liked going and I always went with him. This was his favourite song and I remember being at a function on my 18th birthday when we told me how proud he was of me and I was everything he’d ever wanted as a daughter. I was an only child. We were booked to go to a ball, black tie and ball gowns on my 21st birthday and he said the week after xmas when I was showing him my gown that we would dance to unchained melody. It was 3 weeks away and Dad died the week after he said we would dance to it. He would have loved your version.
