The texture of your voice is like putting on a hoodie straight from the dryer. It feels like home while simultaneously being one of the most beautiful things I've witnessed.

Anthony’s tone is way different than Chris’s, their actual voice tones aren’t really that similar though they are stylistically kinda similar. As in I don’t think this is a Marc Martel/Freddy Mercury type situation where you suspect their actual anatomy could be analogous due the similarity in sound. Certain parts of Anthony distorted mix really even have more a M. Shadows texture than a Cornell texture

Man, this was so hard to listen, so hard. This in an emotional trip for me. Chris’s voice is in my heart and you nailed it! By the end of the last verse, it was so emotional, I’ve cried a little. You hit all the good Chris did in his life and sang from your heart. Thank you, anthony, I know this was so emotionally captivated and you did it, you did it good! Bless you, man. Greetings from Brasil.

Same for me. That interlude after the solo always gets me. As I’ve gotten older, the realer that reality has become.

Goosebumps! It's really nice to hear Anthony singing just like Anthony... Even it making a huge homage to Chris (omg, I'm gonna cry), it's very spontaneous, not an impersonation...

Turned off my Bluetooth headphones so my wife could here it on my phone. She asked “ is that your guy?” I said yeah, Anthony Vincent. She said “ I’m not trying to hear this”. 10 seconds later… “wow, pretty close”. I’m over here just glad to hear Chris Cornell being respected as hell by emulating as closely as possible his voice,style, etc. thanks for all of your great covers and “ sung in the style of’s”. Please keep it up🤘🏾

Brother, you nailed this so well. Chris Cornell is/was so important to me as a teenager, and throughout my life. It hurts that he's gone, and this hit me right in the heart and pierced through to my soul. Thank you for this.

This seriously brought me back so many years ago to a simpler time, with less to worry about, and a version of the world that I miss. This is probably one, if not THE favorite of mine from this channel... Wow... Just wow..... Well done, sir. Enough applause can not be given for this transcendent rendition of this song.

This song made it big in the beginning of some of my hardest times. It captured a feeling I couldn't write describe. Now I guess I'd say "perseverance". Like you hurt, but you keep going. And maybe there's hope and emptiness, regret and optimism. They can all exist at the same time. But time marches on, and we can march with it.
@Mansplainer4523 жыл бұрын
Damn. So true brother. I even forgot those times existed. Coming home from school and putting an audioslave cd in the player and just sitting back and loving the bliss that came out😭😭😭😭😭💔💔💔💔

I was thinking, "man, he's not putting enough stank on it." since Chris would always play with every note, demonstrating how much control he had over it. But then as he sang on, you could tell he kept pushing it more and more. By the end, I had chills. 👏

Now... if I could only find someone that can do Alice in Chains that same justice (*cough* because Duvall was close... but was missing something) Layne Staley's vocal range was pretty amazing / rare too.
