Thank you for the informative video. This is one of those things that are done all the time in traditional Aikido with barely any explanation, and it's always done in impractical ways. Such as, meeting the strike in an ikkyo fashion and then moving behind uke in exaggerated fashion. Never looked like a martial entry to me. When I did try to find shortcuts, I got the "Mr. Fancypants showing off" type reactions. And a LOT of people give bad passive-aggressive ukemi too. There's hardly any explanation, and people who have never been in a fight, they don't get that at slow speed, you're still imitating the physical laws of a high-speed encounter. Hence you can't do things at slow speed that you wouldn't be able to do at high speed, such as drastically change your energy, curve your punch, etc.

Ramtin, what most people misunderstand is they think holding the line means to not move...and being like king of the mountain if you will. however, this is what's different with what I teach. your line moves but does not move off of center. this is why your attacker can be more easily manipluted. does this make sense. I hope it helps.

Hi Tenshin Warrior, Love your channel, I really can learn when I follow along with your training, it's fantastic. I want to learn more, but everyone is saying Aikido is "bullshido" Steven Seagal is bullshit, Joe rogan and all the ufc, mma gracie jiu jitsu "experts" Aikido won't work on the street, or the cage / ring etc, I don't care much for ufc jiu jitsu gracie mma, i like WWE and wrestling, it's more entertaining, and love bodybuilding and health, what do you think of these claims? Thank you again for a great video and training, I love it,

Sensi can you describe, if its possibel to hold the line when attacked, and let your partner change direction. Would that be correct move? Thanks
