Hello and thank you for this awesome, eye-opening video!! It's well informative!! My inquiry: You mentioned to select at-least 10 m from the edge of the field for installation; what field size is assumed? If I want to take readings from a 6m by 4m plot, for example with specified inter-row and intra-row distances of 75 cm and 30 cm, respectively; where should I install the instruments? Furthermore, should I select more than one transects and take repeated measurements, so that to take care of inhomoginity within the plot!!?? One more, how to take measurement from a drying soil (no irrigation, and during no-rainfall period)- same procedure? Thank you!!

Field capacity is the moisture content after drainage of gravitational water in the soil voids. Simply measure the moisture after 2-3 days after irrigation. The reading will give you field capacity.
