8:34 it is explained in a one-shot: Anri, Ego's assistance was scouting Kira in the anime's opening match. Ego saw Isagi passing the ball instead of scoring, Ego said that he was a prime example of how Japanese fooball has destroyed the ego of players, "Japanese soccer killed him, and he will disappear without being found by anyone. It is the Ego of humans like this that makes Blue Lock a treasure." Jinapchi Ego. Hence, Ego choose Isagi that day.

Funny you mention a Blue Lock video game. Yesterday they just premiered a soccer video game inspired by Blue Lock called "Rematch". Its a 5v5 soccer game by the creators of "Sifu".

Just as a heads up, the animation in the next couple of episodes is pretty bad and sometimes even non-existent. They were under a lot of time constraints considering they had to animate both the movie and season 2 in just one year without a break considering they continued immediately after season 1 ended. The animation does pick back up though, albeit slowly! With that being said, the illustration and stills are pretty good to compensate for the lack of animation.

I agree with life lessons from Blue Lock. I started my fitness journey thanks to Blue Lock. Ive lost 30 pounds since ive started watching it. Overall my mindset has changed to be much more confident in myself thanks to Blue Lock. Also the animation complaints are mostly due to episode 2 and 3, but the animation gets better as the season goes on. The story is still peak and top-notch.

that's amazing! Congratulations for losing 30 lbs. That takes a lot of sacrifice and discipline.

so coach, since you're asking about the production side of anime. it gets a bit complicated. usually an anime has an entire team of animators. and they seperate the team intro groups for each episode. group A for episode 1, B for 2, C for 3 for example and repeat. like a rotation. that way multple episodes are being worked on at the same time and the animators have time between episodes to work. the animators are also split into roles. you have the chief director who is basically the boss of the animation staff. he has final say on every cut and ultimately makes any necessary final corrections. then every episode u have 1-2 supervisors (either one for the full episode, or 1 for each half). they make corrections in the art style in any animation cut that gets made they deem necessary. you have key animators. they are responsible for the "animation". they're the ones that animate most everything, however they basically only draw the key frames, the ones that stay on screen enough time that they need to look good. the frames to link the key animations are inbetween frames and they are made by "inbetweeners". these stay on screen for less than a second and as such dont need to be very detailed. now here's the interesting part. animators actually make very short cuts at a time. what I mean by this, is that u may see a scene for a few seconds, and the next cut might be made by a completely different animator only to circle back to that first animator a few minutes later. in one minute, the animator might change about 4-6 times for example. even within an episode they work on a rotation basis for each scene. now the most important parts that are really detailed. those can be longer. I'll use dragonball daima (the most recent dragonball show) as an example, where in the most action packed scenes they may have an animator go ham for a minute straight but these are of course reserved for the most important scenes. there is more that goes into all this. for example the amount of frames they are allowed to draw as they are paid by the frame and each episode has a frame limit but that gets more into the budget side and is less important as the most important factor in animation is always time and skill. there are other rolls I didnt get into like the character designer (who is in charge of the artstyle, every other animator must resemble this style) and the storyboarder (he makes loose drafts of the composition of the camera for the animators to see and well, animate). then there's the people who actually colour the animation, people who draw the backgrounds for the animation to go on (oh yeah, most times the animation doesnt include the background, the animation is kinda pasted onto the background which is drawn by someone else), people in charge of music and sound effects. it is truly a team effort

In blue lock season 2 the panels and the art are always top tier and very well done but it lacks movement, especially in action scenes
@Arsenic80514 сағат бұрын
My issue with this seasons animation is they sacrificed movement for art stills. I much preferred the lower quality art in exchange for actual animation that season 1 provided. Season 2 looks beautiful, but at the cost of minimal movement

By the way, it's probably fine watching the opening with no context but I would avoid watching the opening from now on if possible because there are unexpected hype scenes that are shown on the opening, the more I watched it the more I noticed what was going to happen in certain episodes
