This reminded me so much of how my mama used to roll hair. She was old, old school. lol I think if you made smaller sections to roll it would help with the drying time. Also, if you don't like it with so much body, try wrapping it at night. I used to live by that style b4 I went natural. Your hair is the perfect length for that and I think it turned out beautifully!

That is what I use. I love rollers. Then when they dry completely I do the wrap. The next day I’m good to go. I prepare the hair like you do if I were going to blow dry first.

Glossy Luxe It helps to put a towel around your neck and over your heats to not get you hot and it allows the heat to stay on your head

I really liked the way your hair had volume. You looked cute! That's how we did our hair in the 60's. Except we rolled them wet and slept all night in them. This was before electric rollers. Don't know how our necks survived! Also, love your nails👋👋👍👍👍😻

I tried three separate times using the tension hourglass rollers to freshly shampooed conditioned hair and my natural hair is 4c and really soft. The third time which was today, I sat under the dryer but as my hair dried, my scalp was sweating from the heat and humidity. If my hair was relaxed it would set but for some reason, the hourglass rollers do not work with any of the products that I used with my natural hair. It just gave me a twa.

I bought these too..however the pins were difficult to use...so instead I just used the regular metal clips to do my roller set. That being said...I prefer the regular roller set rollers because of the smoothness of the curls but the tension rollers did take less time to dry my hair.

It was beautiful. I am the same way with heat. Also, I don't like hair with a lot of Volume. I see people with their hair with volume and it looks great on them. When I let my hair grow back, maybe I might try this.

Janay next time try the Paul Mitchell foaming pomade to do your roller set it works wonders. This was my go to in the day when I did roller sets, that and the Paul Mitchell apple sculpting gel together does roller sets so good. Not sure if the apple sculpt is even around now.

I loved both looks and they looked really good on you! I used to rollerset my hair in my twenties. I have long hair so I know how you felt about the heat. I always fell asleep lol. I love Studio Techilo and think it's so cool that stylists watch, learn from, and support other stylists. That said, I bought some cheap knockoff tension rollers for my stepdaughter. I had my second baby in June. No way can I justify paying upwards of $100 right now, LBVS. You hair looked really nice. Shiny & beautiful. Glad you tried them. It's almost an endorsement, seeing another stylist use them. 😉
