Tensioning the Trellis Wires and Shoot Positioning

So, the Goldenrod is quite the contraption. I'm wondering if I could use my car jack and a set of vice grips. It might be easier to operate. I'm amazed your posts (end posts) aren't caving in to the tension. Usually you see these are set at around 65 degrees. Yours seem to be holding up well.

Thanks Paul. Goldenrods aren't that expensive if you want to save yourself the hassle. My end posts are just starting to tip, but the vineyard will be taken out this year anyway. Huge bug and animal pressure, and low price for the grapes makes it unfeasible to continue 😑

Wow, what would you do without that Goldenrod? I can't even imagine doing that without that tool! That was really fast and easy, for me. 😆 Also ... that was just a beautiful flower at the beginning with the bumble on it, what kind of flower was that?

Thanks Drue -- the flower was wisteria, and the smell is even better than the look 😊 -- on the goldenrod, I forgot to mention that it is used to mend broken wires as well. It's really a great tool for metal fencing!

Deer.... I managed to get within 50 feet of a deer last night. The local dnr guy is dragging his feet on our shooting permit. Hopefully you won't have any additional problems with them.

They never did more than a few nibbles in the past. There is nearly the same grape growing everywhere around hers so this stuff is not special 😊
