CST Tutorial: Control CST by MATLAB-- 2.4 GHz Patch Antenna Simulation Example

This video shows how we can control CST from MATLAB by script files. For application purpose, I showed how we can design and simulate a 2.4 GHz microstrip patch antenna in CST from MATLAB.

Not sure if this will help someone. But I couldn't get the simulations to run using the R2024a version of MATLAB and the CST Studio Suite 2023 - [Learning Edition]. I kept encountering errors whenever any function was executed. I was able to bypass the problems by installing the same version of MATLAB as used in the video (MATAB R2016a - academic use) and then running them with the ST Studio Suite 2023 - [Learning Edition] and I had no errors.

hello sir thanks for the video but when i run this code then in cst the dimension of the element is only integer find. so please tell me how the actual size element is desing by matlab please give information.

Change the default units for measurement so that there is no decimal places for any of your values. I had to work in um (micro meters) instead of mm because my values would be rounded to the nearest integer when I tried to run my MATLAB code.

Error in CstLoadSparametterTXT (line 4) scannedSparam = textscan(fid, '%f %f', 'Delimiter','Whitespace','HeaderLines',2); Error in MicrostripAntenna (line 204) [Frequency, Sparametter] = CstLoadSparametterTXT(filenameTXT); What do you think is the problem?
