So where do you expect homeless people to go? More and more people are becoming homeless and no one wants to deal with this crooked, "capitalize on the poor" economy. Instead just tell them to go away.... A country can only call itself great if it looks after its most vulnerable rather than blaming them...

Exactly!! There really is no where for the homeless to go. The cost of housing in Dallas is going through the roof and the quality of jobs here, and the wages, are declining. Too many people are moving here and this is driving down wages. And driving up housing. Dallas is a tough city right now. There really are better other places to live.

They're doing a great job making more people homeless now. The Rich get richer, poor get gov't benefits and middle get squeezed.

This is a result of gentrifying people have been priced out of areas and subsidized housing

Herding and managing the homeless has become a big business. No one wants to end homelessness, because that would end their easy, lucrative jobs. So they just herd the homeless around from place to place.

Lie. The shelters mistreat those people and often subject them to very dehumanizing treatment. Curfews, and they have to line up in lines everywhere they go. The shelter workers often scream at them and worst then everything they sell their information. I know. I was a resident in several of the shelters and eventually I said heck with it and started sleeping in my car. The shelters tell you your information is anonymous and this is a massive lie. Take for instance the Bridge shelter. To stay there, even one night, they require you to sign over 50 pages of a contract and much of that gives them permission to share your personal information with over 150 organizations and government agencies which they will have FOREVER. They also share your information with the POLICE. My sister is married to a police officer and she used him to SNOOP on me. They had no idea I was in a shelter and he was able to see that I was. If the shelters are private and keep your info private how did he access this information? I called the Shelter and they claimed ignorance. They said they did not know how he got the information. But I was also told the Dallas Life Shelter turns over Lists every night to Dallas police of who stays there and Dallas Police puts this information in a database.

I’m from Dallas and how ironic that Damond, the reporter reporting this story, is now homeless.

I’m working on getting a tiny home village started in Fort Worth. First thing we need is $398.00 to get the 501c3 permit. Then we can start a go fund me and reimburse you. I also will g to city council and county council and churches to see if they can help

beverly bearce that's pretty pathetic you're trying to start a homeless camp and you need $400 to just begin the paper work. I can't imagine how many thousands or million you would need to actually get the homes on the property.

I don't get your comment. Homeless people are still people. The problem is the rising cost of housing in Dallas and lack of housing. Also, lack of good jobs that pay a livable wage. The wages in Dallas are declining while the cost of housing is increasing. Dallas Fort Worth has been one of the best cities to move to for the past ten years. This is the first year it has dropped from ALL lists. CNBC, Forbes, Bloomberg. It has dropped from the top 10 due to the rising costs of housing and declining wages. It's stressful, Racist. Hot and Hellish. With terrible traffic.

Dallas is not worth living in anymore. The wages are falling or are stagnant. Housing costs are going through the roof. There really are better other cities to live in and I'm getting ready to move. Also, for many years, probably a decade or more, Dallas Fort Worth and Houston TX have been one of the best cities to move to - to find work. According to Forbes and Bloomberg and other CNBC, this is the first year that Dallas and Houston have fallen off that list. Other cities now offer a better quality of life and more jobs that pay more. Dallas is flush with new residents and people running here and this is driving down wages and increasing housing costs. It's a struggle in Dallas and I'm a college educated person with no habits whatsoever. Dallas is awful. Good Riddance.

So why come back?? Your decisions got you here and won’t take accountability.. the rules are the rules.. If you want help you will comply.. criminal history is also your fault… I feel for the people but we I see is a lot of people who have given up on their own lives.

how is it that resources are offered to these families or are they still homeless because your resources do. Not. Work. It's all just a bunch of junkthat is not the type of stuff that homeless need the answer is not to just put them in a home the answer is not just to give them a job they need the support continuing for you give them a job and then you look the other way it's not helping you got to try something different
