My cousin just shared the song with me and it brought me to tears. I feel so worn and feel as if I am almost drowning and struggling to breathe. My 14 yr old granddaughter was assaulted at school a couple of weeks ago and it has tested every part of my being. This song speaks to how I feel at this moment.

My very favorite Tenth Avenue song! I would listen to it and cry when my son was in heavy drug addiction. Praise God he’s sober now🙏 But it got me through some heavy hearted times. I felt completely worn. That was the best way to describe that time in my life. God’s spirit was definitely in the mix in the room of the writers and with Ten Avenue North when preforming it. 🥰🙏

this is my dads favorite song , he reflects it off his life and he has had it very rough , he almost died two times already and lost his eyesight in both eyes , hes had it very rough the past three years but he finds encouragement in this song and how desperate it is , he really loves this song and how God uses this song in his life too

I back slid for about 8 years and I knew that oh Lord would come get me because he loves me. But the discipline sometimes almost seems unbearable ... This song makes me cry. My sister killed herself, my brother-in-law died from COVID, found my best friend dead the same day, 2 cousins murdered, and one cousin killed himself. All died in the same year other than my sister and she died the 2 years before. I wanted to take my life because I was so worn and struggled so much. I still struggle but now I don’t want to take my life.

This is one of my favorite songs of all of Christian music. I have sat in my car just bawling through it when times aren't easy and I just feel "Worn." Its a song for one of the days that you don't need any resolution by the end of the song because that isn't where your heart is at.. You're just worn and need to cry out, not necessarily have everything be ok by the end of your prayer.

I can't believe anyone interprets this song as negative. It is so powerful and positive, and from all the comments on the YT video, I see it has also touched the lives of people going through much different circumstances than the writer, than each other, than me...I first heard it two days ago when I was feeling so down and hopeless (for the last several years I have been in a world far from Christian radio), and this song touched every aspect of what I am feeling - the point of being so weak, I could barely cry out, but knowing with that last little bit of strength I have left redemption WILL win. I polar attack and they are talking about putting her in a mental hospital for a few months. I loved this song soo much but on a second look it's a discouraging song. It's a song of despair which is lack of hope and faith. God says cast your burdens on me for i care for you. So when you let your problems overwhelme you next is self pity, despair, complains, blaming God and even turning away from God. Seek first the kingdom of God, even when the troubles seem to suffocate you, look up to God. Christians' reward is not on earth, it's eternal life and you have to fight for it because the devil is wise and wants to take as many as possible to hell.

I still love this song because its about being down and discouraged, and losing hope, and being dragged down by the things of this world, but knowing that you can still give it all to Jesus and he can restore all of those things... I don't think theres a Christian anywhere that can say with 100% honesty, that they have never lost hope, faith, and the will to fight at some point. When that happens you feel pretty worn. This is a song more suited for real Christians that can admit that they have real struggles, but know that they are forgiven, and maybe a little harder to understand for those "perfect" Christians that are a little bit better than everyone else and do no wrong ... Or at least want you to believe that

Jason Anton it is human to lose hope and get frustrated, but it is christian to try to hold unto God in the midst of the storm. And that's why I said it is not encouraging. Deliberating on your problems is not helpful because focusing on the problem only adds it's weight. That's why some Christians end up committing suicide.

@@chrisechrise9113 Well Psalms is full of disparaging prayers and crying out words but we still find it encouraging and one of the most popular books in the Bible , and one of the most encouraging , and so is the song it encourages us to look to Christ.:)That's my opinion. I think any song that encourages that is positive.:)
