Hate to disagree with you Bim. Pure Cope. The deck is strictly rouge category. It still loses to the same outs, and is now even brickier. Even with the new level 10 support coming too, to make Varudras. This deck will never be “back”

i think in the video im pretty clear about the inherent limitations of the engine that make it hard to fix with support - but if youre responding to the title and not the video itself - yea its not gonna be tier 1 again it could be rogue tho

I don't think it needs to be back to Tier 1 or whatever. Swordsoul definitely can be a counter pick for the meta. I played the deck as a going second variant that sides into going first with floodgates at the European Championship and went 8-4. You just can't expect the deck to be good if you play it like it was used to be played. You have to find its niche and it will compete. Not in the hands of players that are unexperienced with the deck though.

I just won my local sneak peak last weekend for RotA playing swordsoul, against some decent competition, Swordsoul can still be alright, and this support just makes it better

I feel like The new tuner was almost designed so that people wouldnt have to run the terrible heavenly dragon circle, now if mo ye gets impermed, you just summon the new guy, make chixiao, and get the draw, the link summon and the search all in one

I am very excited for these Tenyi cards. I started playing right before BODE format and thought that the Swordsoul Tenyi deck was really cool. Was priced out of it though and couldn't really play it. By the time they were all reprinted the deck was power crept to hell. Not too sure how much these cards move the needle as there isn't any 1c wyrm combo but they seem fun.

the lack of 1 card combos wont neuter the deck too much if we were hypothetically in a breaker format that allowed for high engine count ratios. i hope yubel is the end of breakers being easy to play around and when we move into supreme darkness in january we will likely also be on another list or about to be

I totally agree on Lvl4. Being treated as a non-tuner would have made it an amazing card. However, all these are intentional, so we move towards a wyrm pile, similar to how Yubel evolved into Fiend Link. About the Synchro, it's sad but what we compliment combo with to make it oppressive? Floodgates. Even Summon Breaker can be super annoying if you have a way to deal with SP. For the Kaiju Field you missed the point of utilizing Gamaciel as a busted omni negator since we can abuse Kaiju Counters. Blackout will also represent 4 counters here for some added synergy. Making a 3-mat Saryuja to get this out is very easy thanks to the free Shaman. Synchro 8 get Waterfront, activate, make Saryu with lvl8 + Shaman + any body (3 counters), search Gamaciel, Special it with Saryuja. Finally a small correction of Future Visions. Floo monsters will NOT be banished by its effect but their own instead. For reference look at Evenly vs Floo (tldr when 2 or more effects move a card to a different location, the card's own effect overrules the rest unless said action is prohibited, for example Lancea). It gives the same result but changes the 2nd effect.

I really hope you dive deeper into the new possibilities for the deck. I strongly believe the deck should be played as a going second variant. I played it like that at the European Championship and went 8-4. Hand Traps are not that good in Swordsoul anymore as you need a full hand to be able to play properly. With at least two hand traps needed ratiowise that doesn't make sense. The 6. card going second helps a lot. Also the breaking capabilites are nearly the best the deck can offer (besides Protos obviously). The game plan could be breaking and killing or breaking and Protos locking. You don't even generate a follow up play with every hand to play turn 3 if you go first. My take is to play going second with breakers and side into floodgates to go first in game 2/3 when you get to decide so you abuse the drawing ability and a specificaly sided field spell floodgate like necrovalley. Otherwise the new tenyi cards offer good otk support with the "not so relevant" effects like specialing the link 2 or 4 or attacking two times. Also having the field spell for adding Circle (which I don't like to play) to add Protos is nice going second so you can search longyuan more often with Chixiao. I'm not overly hyped for the Support to make the deck high tiered but happy to get it as a bonus for the niche the deck can fill at the moment. If you want to we could theorize and test together if you want to develope the deck with a competitive Swordsoul enthusiast since day 1. Keep up the great and competitively viable content. One of the best channels for that for sure.

its actually a lot easier to play around now compared to before, but the end board isnt nearly as impressive as how the current best decks play around nib
