Despite being "unga bunga" Tenpai in good hands is actually an amazing technical deck, almost always having a proper line to make the OTK. I would heavily suggest you play Tenpai yourself because that's the best possible experience of learning how to beat it. Especially against an opponent's White Forest with similar build to yours. That way you will test both deck at the same time, also when using a different strategy to watch your own deck perform you might see something new to incorporate to your regular deck. My hot take was Fiendsmith Tenpai since the Fiendsmith engine is so compact, catching off guard people not only by going first but also by baiting everything I can with Fiendsmith then either pushing with Tenpai or going for Beatrice into Promethean for the full Tenpai combo. (I heavily tested Fiendsmith due to Yubel which is my main deck, then Snakes, then Tenpai, and for the last 2 weeks I experiment with White Forest)

let me know the timestamp if im misunderstanding. if you are talking about a scenario where he activates dark hole and i can summon rciela; rciela will not be able to trigger to summon veiler because the activation window for the trigger will never arrive - rciela would be summoned and destroyed within the same chain, so it wouldnt search if youre talking about a different scenario lmk the timestamp and ill check

@@velosiity You are correct. Rciela is the one that has the continuous effect protecting your illusion and spellcasters from card effects so even the rabbit survives.

sp helps play around nib but rabbit is super solid so if you have to choose between the two of them id say depends on the matchup. rabbit with silhouatte trick really helps against sangen summoning for example

i think on a pure version you play multiple copies of all cards, so losing one or two cards to banishment does not cut off your resource cycle. 6 cards is an extremely large bystial engine and will likely hurt with your non engine ratios. but if you do want to main lubellions and regained, youd be doing that in place of , for example, the centurion package. or in my specific build here, maybe youd have to take out the black goat for the lubellions.

@@BimYGO mainly if your synchros get banished was my thinking. 2 lub, regained, 1 magna, 1 druis pretty much the engine i was thinking about. The 2 bystials also being kinda like handtraps if everyone is on fiendsmith. Definitely instead of centurion package is what I'm thinking since that doesn't seem to be going down in prices

the millennium cards are definitely good. shield specifically is the worst of them by far since there is no plus, and i would never play it for a normal summon veiler scenario. the main problem is space, as you will have to compromise on other engine spots or play breakers, in which case you will lose to ftk decks. that said, the engine itself is very good and works well with wf - im just not playing it for these replays

i think the elzette would miss the activation window in that scenario because the rucia would be returned to the hand in the same chain that it arrived onto the field

@@BimYGO I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t miss timing because it was still summoned. The return to hand and summon happen at the same time and elzette would trigger in a new chain. That’s why you can go woes c1, Rucia c2 and when you summon Silvera you can use elzette as cl2.

@@isaacsamuel6035 im not referring to missing timing - that is another mechanic which applies to when effects, since they have a timing. elzette is a trigger effect, which cannot miss timing. what im referring to is the activation window for the trigger effect. for example, if you summon a fenrir during the same chain that your opponent uses a monster effect, at resolution you cannot use fenrir since he was not present to check for his trigger conditions ill double check how this works and get back to you

@@isaacsamuel6035 i have just double checked - you are right - the card that triggers (elzette) just needs to be present before/while/after the trigger condition is met - but the event that triggers it can occur for any moment of time, no matter how briefly. fyi though this has nothing to do with missing timing, as that is a separate mechanic as i mentioned

Those are decent cards but it really sucks when you’re banishing your engine just to negate stuff. You could argue that making diabolantis sending a light monster for the negate is better. But either case there are downsides for sure.

apo is just strictly a superior card and the resources required to make those two cards arent far off, so i dont see much reason to make a worse version of apo tbh. but also im not super worried about playing around nib since the deck has many routes around it. i dont think genex is needed

This deck doesn't really struggle much vs Nib. It's much more prone to getting stopped when you're starting your turn.

soon apo won't be a choice probably anyway so ppl will have to search different routes, but until late august i don't think there is something doing her job better

@CaptianAlvin3645 it was the best deck in the game before Poplar I'm pretty sure, then Poplar just kept it going. I'd like to see flamberge go away still, but I wouldn't argue poplar to 1 as well

I don't know if I agree with this, other archetypes might have starters, extenders, recursion, and advantage generation, but wanted is all of that in 1 card.

Lots of channels, including this one, have "near 1-card combos" with the level 2s. The issue is that you always need a spell or trap to send, and the density of hand traps the format demands means you won't always have one. No one is questioning the strength of the deck when it's able to play. It's a matter of the deck positioning itself to reliably play through multiple points of interaction and when going second. Snake-eye and Yubel and Tenpai can all win going second off of 4 hand traps and a single starter, with a backup extender at the ready to play through something. That same 4 hand trap 1 starter hand in White Forest does nothing unless that 6th card is a spell/trap, and then folds to 1 opposing hand trap unless that draw was specifically Tales. Obviously there's a lot more nuance than that, but requiring multiple "specific" (i.e. not literally any discard) cards for single plays is just a very disadvantageous position to be in in such a high powered format.

"Damn near" still isnt a one card combo, and all his combos are basic as shit. What regionals have you performed at? "Tremendous success" implies a top and i see no WF lists in top cut anywhere

if youre on the standard breaker ratios then the most statistically normal hand is one breaker and 4 engine pieces. most of those engine pieces are interchangeable, but some are obviously worse than others

@BimYGO it was my pleasure! I think you go the gist of it with your comment. In general, you don't have to deck build for grinding with tenpai because of the strategy and what it aims to do. As well, looking at all of the other cards of the deck, you'll see that it has no problem grinding at all! All of the cards do a great job of replacing themselves. Like I said earlier fadra is not really an engine card. Every other engine card in the deck represents over 8000 damage except fadra. Fadra has very little utility in hand and is bad to draw. The only way to make sure you don't draw 2 is to only play 1. Drawing fadra less frequently helps over a long tournament. If dora dora didn't exist then 3 paidra would be correct, but I like the diversity of normal summons

This is why it's a side deck card. Versus Yubel it's even more devastating than TCBOO because you can't cheese it with Gates into DBB into Almiraj into SP. Meanwhile Fiendsmith which potentially deal with this card (again via SP or painfully with Irae) get hurt on Requiem + Lurrie. This made me wonder why none considers this card when it also hits SnAsh/Oak/Poplar in addition to Yubel and the initial Fiendsmith line. The in-engine out for Yubel would be Engraver into Tract into Engraver so that you can make Necroquip + normal summon into SP. Then if the normal summon wasn't DDB or you don't have Throne, it's very hard to extend especially with decklists not running Muck. You need 2 extra bodies so that you can go into Closed Heaven (SP + 1 body), then Requiem into Engraver into Sequence (Engraver + 2nd body) so that you get Aerial Eater for Samsara. If the normal summon was Samsara, you can go into Yama (Sequence + Engraver), make a link like Rage to send Yama in the GY, then use Sharvara to pop Rage (or Lacrima that will be on the field) so that Yama can revive Samsara and go into Yubel engine that way. TLDR; Power Filter + handtrap (or no Fiendsmith access) = GG

@@BimYGO I'm unsure how actually good it is and it can probably be improved but you do the Engraver line till you get to Sequence + Aerial. Aerial mills Vision Resonator who adds Crimson Gaia which adds Vision Resonator, you normal Vision and then go for Primera Primus add Emblema after which you do the full combo to end on Auxila + Legatia + S:P(any extender makes her a 3 mat Appo) + Stand-Up with Atri and Trudea in backrow and Gargoyle in hand(will write it all out if you can't figure it out no worries) My logic is that your opp will be forced to Nib on Lacrima+Engraver cause you threaten Wave King High Caesar and if they dont Nib there, they don't have it. Like how Snake-Eyes checks Nib with Selenee

@@Gurren961 hmm that sounds like it adds in even more bricks, has a million chokes, and uses your normal summon. id guess this wont be played because it loses to a single interruption. but youre right there might be improvement in alternative lines that are more flexible

@@BimYGO Yeah it definitely sucks that it uses your normal. I saw some OCG comvos using the new lvl 4 Fiendsmirh as well to make Auxila + Blazar + Crimson with less bricks so that might be the way instead

It’s definitely better with a Fiendsmith package, cause you can dump it with Beatrice then add it back to hand via the lvl 8 WF synchro. Besides that, it’s literally pray you top deck
