If you have the option, make sure to disable SMT/Hyper-threading as well. Most games will see a performance improvement after doing this.

For a rpg game where latency doesn't matter than hyperthreading is usually going to give you maybe slightly better frames but it also depends if the game is optimized properly for hyperthreading which most are these days.

@@SB-mr2nk windows runs mainly on your cpu 0 core, so disabling it means your game doesnt run on the same core running everything else, causing fps drops

from system to system it may cause more stable fps. but u should test it yourself to see if it works, every system is different. you might even get lower fps since u have "less" cores basically

@@kizu5234I very much doubt it with all due respect. Disabling multithreading would have a much bigger impact on your 1% lows than only disabling thread 0 I'm pretty sure that could even hurt your performance.

Only disable cpu 0 if your cpu has more than 4 cores. cpu 0 is responsible for working on background and system processes. Lower cores ( 4 cores and below ) won't be affected much by disabling it.
