I really like how you decided to focus on the story of the trip, and used your photography to tell that story. After all, the story is what counts. The more story is in your photo, the longer people will linger around. Great job on this video.

The last two exposures are magnificent, but I also actually really like the two guys on the train at 20:49. For me the white jacket doesn't take away from the composition, but instead compliments the the brightness outside the window.

Your channel really sticks out to me as a photography channel since finding it around the time you had 49.5K subs. It inspired me a lot to do more films and ideas I don't usually take photos of. And finding new things like that. Including experimenting more with the real vintage cameras my Grandpa gave me. Keep going strong, great job on this video. ✌🏻

This was an amazing video Teo! I really liked the way you shot and edited the footage to transition between different sections of the trip. My favorite photos are the ones of the train seats at 19:54 & 20:21, the one of the store at 23:54, and the landscape with the rock at 25:39. I love how much atmosphere the train seat photos have and the rich warm tones in all the photos look really really nice with the light you captured them in!

Your work is so inspiring to me! I’ve had a rough time with my photography journey as I’ve been at home with my baby girl who is 1,5 y old now. I’m slowly getting back and finally had time to drop off a few rolls of film to develop yesterday. Can’t wait to see the “comeback” results! As you say I’m also focusing on the process and not stressing much on the outcome just enjoying my time! Btw I’ll just start playing one of your videos when she can’t really fall asleep. Your voice works 99% of the time! 👌🏻😁

Amazing photos man. By the way I have a question, have you ever used the sunny 16 rule to meter photos like these on the k1000 or do you just use the light meter app on your phone?
@markpinchuk9490
@markpinchuk9490 Жыл бұрын
Unless your light meter is broken, or you don't have a phone to meter with, you probably shouldn't be using sunny 16. It's sort of a last resort sort of deal.

Hey, an easy fix for your under-exposure issues with bright (=snow), or backlit scenes is to use the dedicated lever on the bottom of the XA. It's for that purpose.
@teocrawford
@teocrawford Жыл бұрын
Ahhh true!! I didn’t know though at the time of shooting, that the snow confuses the light meter that much. I had already rated the iso a good bit lower, so I thought it‘d be fine haha. I‘ll try to think of that next time :)

All over the place haha - recently I've been looking up little camera shops in the small Japanese towns that I visit and buy a couple rolls from them if they're not too expensive. Actually they usually were much cheaper than the shops in central Tokyo. In Austria it's more or less the same, I don't really have one spot, but just impulsively buy some film if I find some for a decent price.

I am always wondering, if you sometimes ask people before you take a photo of them or are you always doing it kind of secretly and casual, as it if were normal?
@teocrawford
@teocrawford Жыл бұрын
@shee.taa.
@shee.taa. Жыл бұрын
