@@cccbruin color has to do with how much the barrel was used not the time aged by fortaleza. So sure. Color is just color. Has nothing to do with taste.

Great Review Mark, I brought from Tlaquepaque El Buho great tequila store Los Abuelos Añejo & Reposado 2 years ago. I try to keep a bottle as soon I run out, here in the States is known as Fortaleza this is my 3rd bottle of Añejo 2 from lot 46-A Los Abuelos bottle was taken away from a friend lol. If someone ask me the score I would put 10 Galaxies the nose is amazing cooked agave citric like lime orange peel vanilla and buttery honey flavor is amazing butterscotch’s creamy body again the cooked agave vanilla and fruits like pineapple and lightly to peach I’m not an expert like you but I try to pick the notes on nose and taste I’m learning from your videos. I haven’t found the Añejo yet, because Fortaleza is quite hard to find these days, but my eyes are always open. So far I’ve only tried the Reposado which I was very impressed with, lots of natural cooked Agave flavor with some vanilla influence from the barrel, and just the right amount of peppery notes and citrusy notes to it. And a nice smooth velvety texture as well.

Picked up a bottle today, Lote 53-A from Bodega (mentioned your video of their store). Found the store accidentally after exiting the 91 freeway to get gas on my way back from Palm Springs. I watched this video while sampling the tequila, and it helps me detect the aromas as you describe. Still learning to detect the flavors, but I really like this tequila.

I Love that Fortaleza Squeak! Love their Philosophy, their History and Story. One of my favorite brands. All the lote’s that I have tried have been good. My favorite way to drink it is to mix 2 to 1. 2 parts Still strength to 1 part Anejo. My Favorite lots are: Still strength lot 1, Blanco lots 76&77, Reposado lot 16, Anejo lot 42 & 43 and 28.

HUGE Fortaleza fan here in Mississippi! Unfortunately it's not sold here so i have to drive to Louisiana to obtain it. However, it's 100% worth it imo. I would crack the 42 to give it a try then save for special occasions. NO flippng here.

I don't know about all that i know this video was 2 years ago but they got these bottles in almost every liquor store i go to where i live in Knoxville Tn for $89.99 The store i went to was called downtown wine + spirits and the guy said they have a website but they do In-store or curbside pickup only. i actually almost bought a bottle the other day i might just go do that this morning lol.

@@royn8032 no, it just means you would like the fuenteseca better than G4 XA. G4 and Fortaleza taste nothing alike. Altos tequila versus Valle tequila. I love G4 Blanco and prefer it over Fortaleza. Matter of fact I prefer most well made tequila.over Fortaleza. I wouldn't buy either Fortaleza if it was my money. I would grab the El luchador 110 Blanco or repo over Fortaleza now .
