this was a fantastic display. No clue if you ever played Monster Hunter, but this fight looked almost like a mirror image of a fight in that game, only Monster Hunter fights last up to 40 minutes.

@kenshimxbr - In short your saying that you adapt to dodging, you get used to dodging a bit earlier because you know thats when its going to occur, same with attacking =P

@egydragon Yeah it does make a difference. Especially later on when mobs are attacking faster and have quicker massive AoEs. I played in K TERA for 3 months and the end instances were no joke.

its not a world boss but a lvl 25 elite quest mob (group of 5 still recommend) still nice to solo him... they have a shit load of hp and do quite some damange.

@rangeluseche it's not copy&paste, it really have some similar attacks of the Tigrex, but this is a exception. You seem not to search enough to have such conclusion. If you want a really copy&paste of MH look for Hunter Blade and you'll see.

Yeah chaos this game reminds me of monster hunter like in the fighting style and in the way the monsters get staggered, also like in monster hunters when you learn the monsters moves you can rape them by dodging

The guys in Empress used to call these Reapers. Tried to solo them as-well but always fell flat on my face with the slightest lag spike. I found Basilisks(forest area) and Kuma's(Desert Area Thunder Giants) easier to solo compared to these unless they enraged early or during a lagspike. But still very nicely done :) But did you find it worthwhile at the time to chain-grind these as opposed to doing repeatables elsewhere?

I love how the monsters are so fking different in TERA. In the other games you just keep killing the same monsters over and over, and when you are stronger you kill a different version of the monster that changed just his collor. I never played TERA because I don't understand any of that language, but every vid that I watch, there's another different monster and another scenary.

@MrZockull in fact, you are trollin' right now... i cant say if ranges are fun to play, 'cause i play melee - but it will be nearly similar, due to the high amount of movement-abilitys. the grind, is a problem in the most games, but for me in this game i love to grind because of the combat system ;) and its not that "one simple ob" this thing what he kills is in fact a boss mob, and it rly takes skill to kill such a thing solo... so far 6/10

Good job not dying but could've been done better/faster if skills were utilized better. need glyph for longer stun duration on startling kick, would allow a good combo with knockdown strike>overhead strike>startling kick>distant blade. this is an old vid though... not so hard to glyph/crystal character properly with help of ktera armory and google translate.

just saying they throw bam quests at you in this game like its just a casual event and it takes awhile to solo a bam but this game is so fun especially with a game controller

@EntityJustin nah... racials have LONG ass cooldowns it doesnt really matter in the long run. as humans you get 3 min knockdown/immobile resist for 3 min.. 1 hour cd.. if youre playing gvg etc.. that 3 min is NOT gonna save your ass. same with castanics. though castanics have 1% passive crit chance :3 not much but at least its permanent. anyway race dont matter aside from hitboxes. imo play watever you feel like playing.. no such thing as being stuck on playing one race over the other for pvp.

Because, in any truly great MMO, you should be forced to party up to fight "Elite" monsters that would be trash in any action RPG except for the fact that there is no dodge mechanism.

@Jamet999 No Fake I did a lot from the world bosses by my own most of the groups fails in movment though it seams it tooks forever but when u look at the video he has a good dodge attack strategie. Thats one of the funniest parts in Tera online. But the drops sucks ^^ So peace and have fun with that game

not a world boss, as I just hit 25 on my slayer at this exact point in the game and there are like 10 of those mobs just north of where he is in this video. It's a tough big monster, but not a BAM (Bad Ass Monster 5+ people)

dude, that's a difterrent mode of mmorpg, you just fix target and skill , no click and skill ,click for normal attack, you can avvoid attacks and other stuffs , trust me ,yours is a first impresion , after playing it it will be changed

@egydragon in EU CPE with ping ~30 i could kill this dude solo without him even touching me. the delays are really severe in KR. i couldn't continue playing in KR after tasting the game without delays.
